Ok, so a few years back a guy I used to date's mom made this really good sauce for chicken. It had good seasons italian dressing mix in it, but it wasn't dressing. She would never tell me how she made it. Has anyone ever heard of this or made this recipe? It would be super if I could get the recipe because I have been craving it lately. LOL. Thanks in advance!

A good friend of mine has a sister that is going to pass away any day and I would like to have some ideas ready for food that I can take over. I am not sure how much food others will bring but I would like to have things that can freeze well and also things that are quick. As I have four kids of my own, I can't do anything too expensive but I want to do all I can in the food line up to help her out. Any ideas?

I'm about to begin giving cooking lessons. I have 3 culinary school students who will be working for me, and we'll be tutoring small groups of people in cooking techniques.

I'm looking for recipes that aren't too complicated, and don't require very expensive (or hard-to-find) ingredients. Also, the recipes can't have very long preparation or cooking times (such as a crock pot recipe), because we're getting paid by the hour.

I've done Web searches, and I've found some good stuff. But I'd really like some localized and/or "family" recipes.

What meat do I use; and how to find meat at the supermarket?
Is there a marinating sauce to use? If so, how long to marinate?
What cooking utensils do I need?
How do I cook (oven / broil / fry)? (BTW, Fire dept has forbidden me from using grill - so please don‘t ask me to grill)
What condiments go best with Prime Rib?

I made brownies for the first time the other night, and they didn't come out as I had hoped. They were still edible and tasted good, but it was hard to get them off the pan, and when I used a spatula, they just crumbled. Also, how do you make them bigger than how mine came out? Mine came out pretty thin, I was expecting store bought size. (wishful thinking I guess) Thanks!

A from scratch pound cake recipe calls for a 12" fluted pan but the my fluted pan is only 9.53". How do I adjust the recipe to fit the smaller pan? I the future I know I could always buy the 12" size from a speciality store but in the meantime what else can be done? Thank you.

I'm looking for your recipes on a different pasta. I have mine with alfredo, chicken and broccoli. Yum!

I'm not looking for you to search it on yahoo/google and post up a recipe you've never had before.

Thanks!!

I am making a sausage and potato and carrot dish in the crockpot with some cream of mushroom and cream of celery soups poured over it, do i need to cook the italian sausage before i put it in the crockpot , or will it be ok cooking in the crockpot alone for 5 hours? I know it will not brown if I don't put it in a skillet for a few minutes, but that doesn't matter I am just concerned about it cooking all the way through.

......of dried peas?

I've been to every supermarket and shop in my area, and you can't seem to get them any more. There's split green or yellow peas, or the little packs of quick soak dried peas for making mushy peas, but no packets of ordinary dried peas. How am I supposed to make proper pea and ham soup? Split peas just don't cut the mustard for me.

Any ideas as to where to find them, please?

I have never thought twice about cooking with tinfoil.
But my fiance made such a huge deal about it, saying that it cant be safe, I thought i would ask here if anybody has ever heard of anybody getting sick from it. I would like to clear this up with him so I can get back to my cooking.
