No. I do it all the time. Fresh Ginger is best. I also sometimes put Garlic, Onions, Chillies, Lemon Grass, Thyme, Rosemary and Bay Leaf in it. Again Fresh is best!

Delicious.

When I was in France, I even had a French chef ask me for the recipe. It is good!

no but put very little if you are using ground ginger no more than 1/2 tsp and that might be too much, alot of beef marinades and BBQ sauce have ginger in it so it will not hurt. Fresh ginger is better but a pain to peal and chop but you can use about 1 tsp of it. try it first with small amounts then next time you make it try more if you didn't think it was strong enough. Don't stuff it in the meat like you would garlic just add it with the veggies and any liquid you may put with it.

Ginger in roast sounds terrible. Don't ruin the meat.

No, it will give it a different taste though. It all depends on if you like ginger or not.
