A little bit of soy sauce adds a nice color and a bit of salt.

Olive oil w/ fresh oregano and parsley is good.

A1 Marinades are excellent. I recommend a BBQ flavored marinade over a BBQ sauce because sauces tend to burn/scorch on a rotisserie.

Fresh herbs would be great. You could do some thyme or rosemary or a combination of the two.

I like to use a combination of those two herbs, plus parsley, a little vinegar or lemon juice for acid and some olive oil. Pulse it all together and slather it over the chicken, inside and out.

fill the chicken cavity with a blend of 80% onions, 10% celery and 10% garlic (whole cloves, crushed) add some olive oil to the inside of the cavity and oil the outside of the bird-- season outside with some rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper
