Wihtin the last 5 years, I beleive, a cookbook was released that was supposed to give the "secret recipes" to some of the biggest chain and fast food restaurants around. Does anyone know the name of that book and where I can find it?

I have this recipe, which is to be made in a jar as a gift, with all dry ingredients inside. It calls for oats, flour, sugar, etc etc... but as well, calls for powdered milk. There are wet ingredients to be added, but only when gift is recieved and ready to make. So, if I do not have this powdered milk to add to the dry ingredients, what would 1 cup of powdered milk be equivalent to in regular milk for when the wet ingredients are to be later added instead?

I've been asked to make & bring an old recipe of my late grandmothers for our families Christmas Eve dinner. I've always made from scratch her pumpkin pie recipe. However this year my step-monster has decided that it doesn't bring the excitement it used to.

She's decided I should make granny's pumpkin roll instead. Part of the process calls for the batter, after it's been baked, to be rolled out on a "tea towel". This is where I really need someone to help me out.

1. What is a tea towel?
2. Where would I get one?
3. Is there something else that can be used in it's
place?
3. And last but not least, am I the only person in
this day and age that doesn't know what a frigging
tea towel is?

I love Christmas & cherish our familes Christmas Eve dinner. Even more so since there is a really good chance this could be my last with them. If I show up for dinner without those pumpkin rolls Christmas will be lots of things, but MERRY, won't be one of them...lol Thanx!

I've tried 3 batches and I'm following the recipe but my spritz and sugar cookies keep coming out bitter

It's not like I haven't baked before so I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong

Any ideas? Could it be how I am creaming the butter? (I only have a hand mixer)

Thanks for the help!

For example, today I want to make breakfast. I don't have any eggs, but I do have sausage, some cabbage, bell pepper, Caprisun, and main seasonings, like sugar and salt. Maybe later, I'll only have bread and cabbage. I would think a website would exist for busy people like me that likes the idea of cooking, but is usually too busy to do much.

My apologies for sounding like an idiot but my girlfriend and I have tried to cook "real" chips by cutting up real potatoes (into chips) and frying them. They turn out hard in the middle or they are really greasy. Quite frankly they taste like crap.

What is the secret????????

Please help me. Thanks
