Is that a full bulb or just a piece of garlic within the bulb?

My boyfriend is coming tonight (in fact he is arriving by airplane from Italy). We are not going to eat a dinner, we just want to have some wite wine with some snakes. But I really want to make something very tasty, light, healthy and not complecated. I want to impress him. Please help!

I have heard that one will need to let chicken (and other meals) cool to room temp before restoring. I question this advice ! If it is proper to do so... explain the rational.

My sis-in-law makes a fruit salad that has assorted fresh fruit in it. She uses Miracle Whip salad dressing in it. She has no recipe because she learned how to make it from my now deceased mother-in-law. Anybody out there have a recipe like this and is willing to share? Thanks!

I have the following choices: Cold tap water in the kettle, cold tap water straight in the pan, hot tap water heated by the boiler in the kettle or hot tap water heated by the boiler straight into the pan. Sorry its a bit long winded but I boil veg nearly every day and want to be as 'green' as possible whilst I do it!
