I have to make 2 pumkin pies; one for my family and one for the in-law's. I want to make both of them on the Wed. before Thanksgiving. One will be used on Thanksgiving day and the other on the Sat. after Thanksgiving. Will the one made for Sat. last that long (3 days)?

Whenever I make my tea biscuits, they always turn out a little on the heavy side. I do not over knead but they still always turn out the same way. Does anyone have a great recipe or suggestion for me?

I'm having a couple of friends round to dinner this weekend and dont know which one to cook first.
Ones rather large, with plenty of fat on him, and shes on the pert but skinny side - rather tender looking. Depending on which one i pick, i am unsure whether to go for a slow roast or to get out the spit - he may be a bit on the large side for this! Barbecueing is out of the question due to the weather. Any help with marinades would also be helpful!!

my stew consists of tomatoes, peppers, and onions. However,i have been told not to eat tomatoes because it is an agglutinin. i need an ingredient with the taste and if possible the food values of tomatoes.tomatoes also counteracts the hotness of peppers and chilles.the substitute should be able to counteract the hotness too.

I have heard that tin foil can cause bacteria to form when you put it in the refrigerator, I was just wondering if this was true.

Please - the recipe can have NO sugar and the fat and refined starch should be very MINIMAL. It's fine if the recipe is quite simple. Thank you!

Some recipes I've seen call for rum, brandy, vodka...and my thought is that if they're cooked at a high enough temperature (like a baked fruitcake with rum as an ingredient) the alcohol should be well evaporated out of the final product. A friend thinks the mere taste or suggestion of taste could make a recovering alcoholic start craving again. What're your thoughts on this?

My husband saw a what looks like a layer cake made of twinkies in the newspaper but threw it away. Does anyone know any recipe like this. I know it had some kind of cream filling in between the layers of twinkies. I looked on the Hostess site and it had a pumkin layer Twinkie cake but that is not it. Any ideas?

Or just a recipe for a good cream filling that could be used?
