My sis-in-law makes a fruit salad that has assorted fresh fruit in it. She uses Miracle Whip salad dressing in it. She has no recipe because she learned how to make it from my now deceased mother-in-law. Anybody out there have a recipe like this and is willing to share? Thanks!

I thought I explained she just stirs it up. She cuts up some of this and some of that and squirts this and that and stirs in a glob of salad dressing and voila! there it is. I need proportions.

This is my dressing recipe and you can use it in the salad or as a fruit dip. I have no recipe either I just usually do it to taste and don't measure so those measures are approximate.
I got it from my Mom who made it in the 50's.

1C Miracle Whip salad dressing
1T lemon juice concentrate
2T sugar

Just mix it all together and add to your assorted fruits

Oh my, my grandma used to make something similar to that -- haven't had if for decades, but I will try to remember.

Canned fruit cocktail (drained real well), chopped pecans, coconut (not too much) and Mao to coat it all (almost too much). This is close, sorry, tooooo many years since I have had it. I remember those ingredients though, because I ONLY ate the nuts - hated the rest as a child.

The only fruit salads I know are Waldorf Salad, that has mayonnaise in it, or Ambrosia, which uses canned fruit and sour cream.

this may sound silly, but why don't you ask your sister-in-law?
