A former neighbor used her grandmother's recipe and just used a bit of this & that. She cooked it slow overnight for two days before serving it over cheese lasagne. (Living next door, I could smell it and by the time it was ready to serve, I just devoured it.) Everything I find on-line or in recipe books always has a "quick" method. The sauce she made was the finest I've ever tasted. If anyone has one, I would truly be greatful. We've lost touch and I've tried to duplicate what she told me to use but it's not the same. I'm missing something. Thanks.

Ok, this is a tough one...I don't want to go to the grocery store, I do not have a grill... I have bratwurst and kraut, and trying to find a recipe that has minimal ingredients. Ingredients that are in the average cabinet, and I am out of potatoes, :) just looking for ideas if there are any out there.

I have no idea what it is. It's a circular piece of metal mounted on a wooden handle. One end of the metal part has a serrated blade edge; the other end is smooth. The metal part isn't a solid circle; there is a small gap where the two ends should meet. Also, there is a hole in the "top" end of the metal part.

Anyone see one of these, or know what it's used for? There is a photo showing 2 angles, just click the link:

have U invent and ate something you made cause that is all you had or U were under the influence of a hippie {if U know what i mean }??

i have 2 recipes very good;
Hot cheetos delight

Two slices of bread both spread with mayo and on one slice of put a slice of cheese'yellow kraft' and ethier turkey or ham {i perfer turkey breast} put on top of the cheese and a handfulor a pile of hot cheetos on the deli meat and put as much as you like mustard over the cheetos and put the other slice of bread on top and press down and eat. sounds like a preagnet food but i was 16 and nowhere near that at the time. enjoy also you can subsitute with doritos cool ranch but the cheetos were better.

My 2nd one
peanut cereal

Any type of healthy cereal with nuts berry/rasians and of course corn flakes but it has to be this type or else it may taste gross
pour the cereal into a bowl and grab a big spoon of peanut butter any type you like and pour enough milk into the bowl mix and eat.

Which episode & recipe is your favorite?

Chuck Henry (Travel Cafe), Keith Floyd, Emeril, Rachael Ray, Ina Garten, Giada De Laurentis & Michael Chiarello are my favorites. The World at Your Table on Fine Living has great recipes & ethnic cuisine ideas too.

The crackling was crisp and the meat was tender and juicy. The problem is I don't know how she cooked it or which cut she used.Every time I try to roast pork it turns out dry and hard. I've tried cooking it fast, slow, covered, uncovered but it always turns out crap. How is it done please?

Hello! I hope you can help me ;>

I'm looking for a recipe in which I can cook my Prime Ribs in a Crock Pot with some veggies (like potatoes, carrots, celery, etc.), but I do not like any type of "sweet" ingredients mixed in with meat (for instance, no marmalade, brown sugar, sweet sauces, etc.).

I have about 3 pounds of Prime Ribs and I've never cooked with a Crock Pot, but I'm just having these visions of the tender meat falling off the bone..

Got any good recipes?

Thanks!
