make your favorite kind of cake mix then get your favorite ice cream and spread it on top of the cooled down cake (make sure you leave your ice cream out for a little bit so it is soft enough to spread over your cake) then stick the cake and ice cream back in the freezer to harden back up. Decorate if you wish and you have ice cream cake.

I make a yummy frozen yogurt cake but it work the same with ice cream. Use a spring form pan( 9 inch) Prepare a graham cracker or Oreo crust in the pan.Let your ice cream soften a little then mix in a tub of cool whip, mix it well with a big spoon or you can use an electric mixer on low. Pour into the spring form pan, freeze until desire frozen state is achieved. remove from freezer for about 6 minutes before serving. cut with a knife dipped in hot water. YUMMY!!!!

I just made one last weekend for my son. I got the recipe from kraftfoods.com. It is called Easy Celebration Ice Cream Cake. I made two 8in round cakes and put them on the top and bottem and frosted only the top of the cake with one tub vanilla fraosting, half tube cool whip, and oreo cookie crumbs. Everyone was like wooh when I brought it out because of how tall it was but it was hit. Everyone loved it.

My friend's mom is an AMAZING chef, and she used to make ice cream cake for birthdays. She would layer the inside of a bowl with one colour, and then fill the inside with another (and with chocolate chips). Then, she would FLIP the bowl over, and there would be a domed shape ice cream cake, with two different flavours. It was sooooo good. (Usually she did green on the outside and pink with choloate chips in the middle, so that when you cut it, it looks like slices of watermelon. Oh, and she used homemade icecream).

well if you have the betty crocker bake and fill pans the you use the dome pan and the base pan, make the cke then fill the cavity of the dome pan with ice cream, but idf you don't the make a cake, cut it in half make a cavity fill it with ice cream, put the 2 pieces back together and frost really well so the crack doesn't show, and instead of using ice cream you could fill the cake with frosting yum
