I think that it is a tenderizing mallet used to make tough cuts of steak more tender. The serrated edge makes a lot of tiny cuts in the steak which tenderizes the meat after you have pounded it a dozen or so times. I saw our butcher do this with something similar looking whenever we ordered "cube steaks"and I have not seen one used in many years.

I'm not a giant cook , you virtually needed to shop for each single issue for future. you will be able to stunned at the merchandise, all reasonable too! they'd not simply woks, however all types of kitchen gadgets. its not a meat tenderizer. its doesnt have the weight and the teeth are for cutting. i would agree with the two who said getting corn off the cob.
