I do not have one and nor do think I ever will, though who knows. If the price of fuel goes up yet further I might have to eat my words. At present I use a gas cooker and oven to cook with.

Can you use these condiments for baked pork chops? sauteed chicken? I see that it is used for rice and beans, but what about meats? Any ideas, especially with pork would be helpful

My family loves malt-o-meal hot cereal, and HATES oatmeal. But I would like to find an organic substitute that tastes just as good. I've tried oatmeal in every way, but we just can't stomach the texture of it as a cereal, so I only use it in baked goods. But with the winter coming up, I'd like to serve my family a nice hot cereal, that hasn't been treated with pesticides. Something with a smooth, creamy texture that tastes good being flavored w/maple syrup and brown sugar (our favorite).

There is a bakery in St. Andrews in Fife that sells the most amazing almost-donuts I have ever had. They are rectangular with no hole, and a delicious cream/custard in the middle. Please can someone let me know the name/ tel/ or address of this shop? I have no idea where it is exactly, though I understand it is somewhere in the centre of the town. Thanks.

Recently I made Gulab Jamuns at home. Still there were few problems that left them not tasty. I want you to help me plz.

I did not prepare dough at home and used dough available in the market. The milk was used in kneading the dough. I fried them in Pure Ghee. Still when I ate them, the Gulab Jamun seemed UNCOOKED from inside, specially at the middle of the balls. I even put a kismish inside the Gulab Jamun balls so that they do not remain uncooked at the core. It was very hard to bite at the middle.

But when I buy it from the market, they are very soft from inside. Why so?
Moreover there were cracks on the outer side of the balls. They also did not look nice from outside.

What is the trick to make Gulab Jamuns softer at the core and also look nice?

I was trying to impress my family yesterday by cooking perfect Pancakes and then,IT happened
I decided to impress them by my skills at Pancake tossing (no smutty replies) when all of a sudden one of them flew out of the pan and up the Extractor fan.
Well, all hell broke out then,my Nephew turned off the fan and bits of Pancake shot out everywhere as it slowed down, everyone panicked the Dog legged it (and has not been seen since) and the fan has to be replaced and Err -Indoors has banned me from the kitchen, life sure is a ***** sometimes,do you think I should try to cook something else,I am thinking of doing a Stir-Fry next any tips on what to look out for ??
