There is more than one recipe to make waffles.
I use a waffle maker and the following is how I learned to make Waffles from my Grandfather
who had a restaurant and also was the favoured
Army cook! Easiest way.. take pancake batter make it a tad thicker than you do for pancakes.
add 1&1/2 tblsps. corn starch. 1/2 tsp.. baking powder. Mix and pour on waffle maker.
( my waffle maker is non-stick.. if yours isn't non-stick spray on some Pam or other good non-stick cooking oil spray). Other method use Griddle cake recipe: 3 cups flour, 1& 1/2 cups corn starch. 2 & 1/4 tbps baking powder. 2-3 drops cooking oil.. mix adding water till you get consistency of cottage cheese slightly runny. Pour thinly on your waffle maker. Note some people like to but 2-4 tsps salt either recipe.. I prefer to add salt
after they are cooked!
