I'm worried about people not responding and then not having enough food or whatever. Is it acceptable to give those who haven't responded a call and see if they are attending or not? Or is this considered rude?

I'm looking for a site where I can find engagement rings. If you know any sites that has them where you can get 1/2 sizes, I'd appreciate it. If not, that's okay. Also, I'd like a site where they aren't too pricey.

A roomate of mine assumed she was in my bridal party, and i have not had the heart to tell her she isn't. I feel as though my party is big enough and I really want her out of it!! Lately she kind of makes me feel uncomfortable. You know the movie, single white female? Something like that!! Any suggestions??

My parents told me that they would pay for my reception, and booked the place with my money for the deposit, no other money has been put into it. Then when we discussed about the fact that my fiance and I would like to offer alcoholic beverages at the reception, they freaked out and now they are not paying for the reception at all. I am not sure what to do, my fiance and I can't afford to pay for it, and we offered to have the reception without any alcohol, and they said that the fight that we had with them over it hurt their feelings and now they aren't paying for it all. What should I do?

My fiance and I are looking at not getting married in a church. We aren't set on a certain religion, and don't really have a church that we go to.

We are having a December wedding, so making everyone freeze outside would not be a good idea in the middle of winter. Any suggestions on how we can still have a nice wedding, and not have to be in a church?

If it helps.. we live in Michigan

My husband went to a birthday party with a friend which was male,, When he came home he changed clothes and I went to wash his pants and a picture of him fell out of his pocket, he had his arm around this woman and he was kissing her, I asked him about it and he said She was a friend, I say if she was a friend why did he hide the picture and I don't think he should be hugging and kissing another woman when he is married.

It feels like I have a billion things to do. I have a list and have been crossing things off as I go, but for some reason, I feel like I have left everything to the last minute. Me and my honey, aren't spending that quality time together because we're running here and there all the time.

There have always been feelings between me and my cousin (his mum is my mums sister) and for over 17 years we have fought the feelings, however when my marriage broke down, we got together and have recently got enagaged. the family are not happy about it but most have accepted us for who we are and accepted that we are adults (we are both in our mid 30's) i know some feel that marrying cousins is wrong but you can grow up next door to someone all your life and fal in love with them so why cant you fall in love with your cousin. (for info we had not seen each other for several years when we got together this year). I dont want to get acceptance for this i would just like to know peoples views on this. After all who decides who you can and cant fall in love with? And forget the american states we are both british and both live in the UK...Can we get married here and also can we legally get married abroad (Cyprus?)

I was invited to a wedding at the end of last month. The wedding is for this Sunday at an Elks club. This was a very fast planned wedding.Along with myself and husband my daughter (who is under 10) was invited to the wedding with her own invitation. I am what they would consider a distant cousin (4th I think). What should I put in the envelope for me and my husband and what should I put for my daughter. They requested cash only. Please Help.

My bridal shop will steam my gown for free. Yay! Unfortunately, my bridal shop is in Pennsylvania and I have a 3 hour drive to New York. The shops in the area aren't so helpful, they only steam dresses bought there. I have been told to hang the dress in the bathroom and run a hot shower. Honestly ladies, does this work? Has anyone tried it? Better suggestions? I'm reluctant to take it to a cleaner because we're only going up the day before the wedding and I'm afraid it won't be done in time.

me and my husband never got each other rings due to the fact that we got married under an intense circumstance. His mother went to Russia to visit family and he had her buy me ring. On my b-day he gave me the ring and it is beautiful but not what i dreamed of. it is 10k yellow gold band, at the top the ends twist together with white gold, the white gold has little .3 diamonds..... this sounds beautiful right..... well here is the kicker, insted of a diamond at the center to accent the .3, there is a big PEARL. it even has matching earings so it gives it a costume jewlery look. they truelly are beautiful but they look like somthing you give your wife of 50 years not your wife of six months who doesnt have a ring yet.....SO WHAT DO I DO SUCK IT UP OR TELL HIM I DONT LIKE IT????? HELP!!!!!

ever been to a 5-star hotel and not recieved "as good" service as the wealthy patrons?

i recently went to the Beverly Hills Hotel and my family saved up for this vacation for about a year. we aren't wealthy. Just normal people who saved up for the trip.

so we rented a toyota camry and pulled up to the hotel and they literally sneered at us. is this fair? the bmw that pulled up behind us got all the service and more. They opened their door for them and everything! We had to let ourselves out of the car and take out luggage out on our own. We also had to ask the valet to park our car...god forbid they had to drive a toyota!

has anyone else experienced this type of falseness?? and which hotel and where?

I do not like country and would prefer that the song be very unique so not Celine Dion or Streisand or anyone like that. We are using Sinatra for the other song. Any ideas of a great love song that fits into that genre, or something that few people have heard?

I have noticed with all of the places I've been looking at lately (for place card holders and cake toppers) that there is always quite a waiting period before they ship things out. Anywhere from 3-5 days to several weeks.

It seems like they don't actually carry anything, they order it from the manufacturer when you order it, so customers have to wait. Non-wedding stores couldn't do that and keep a customer base or stay in business. I just feel so weary of how the wedding industry seems to have their own rules (not to mention charge exorbitant amounts for things.)

I just want to order some things for my wedding and have them soon after I order them. Does anyone know of a place that actually carries the items they say they have?
