Wedding photographer...what are you trying to get all with all these stupid questions? Are you trying to come up with new poses for your bride/grooms? Are you trying to create a portfolio of borrowed pictures that you like off the Internet? Are you trying to generate business by showing off your work?
The photos that you typically are selecting (and than asking about in this forum) are not very natural or interesting or good for that matter. Its time to exercise your own creativity rather than borrowing from someone else.
A quality wedding photographer will take photos in the moment, and understand the basics of how to make people look their best in pictures. Wedding are about capturing the special and sometimes spontaneous moments, and not about having posed photos.
Some of the best pictures from my wedding, were suggested by me and my husband on the spot, and not pre-planned from some bogus photo collection. The one I love best is where we are looking at each other and laughing. It wasn't planned or posed, it just happened.
Go with your gut on photo taking. If you are trying to build business, offer your services for free on a couple of weddings and invest in building your own portfolio rather than borrowing from the Internet.

In terms of composition, it's very good. In terms of being appropriate for an engagement photo, it's a little cliched for my taste, and a bit suggestive to be sending out with an engagement announcement, especially as the focus of the guy's attention seems to be the woman's breasts.

The background is too made up, and the subjects do not look focused on each other enough to be a romantic engagement photo

Its a great photo.
That wasnt the question. Is it the best engagement photo? Hell no. Most guys/girls when they ask somebody to marry them are scared as hell. They dont know what they are doing. They are shaking.
What you show is the total opposite or reality. As I said its a nice photo but not realistic to what your question would be. A better example would be somebody tripping down the stairs.
Nice photo wrong situation to depict it.

It is pretty but I don't think I would use it as an engagement photo. It looks a little to personal to show alot of people

yes it is nice i hope the two remain that way forever obsticles will come but i trust that they will find the answeres to their problem in each others eyes the same way from the photo that they're looking at each other. If you took that photo when ever i am getting married i need to use you, you've got skills. I like it.
If that is you and your girl nice pic and cute couple, looks won't make a happy marriage be each others best friend ok.
I need to make a copy of it so when i am getting hitch if ever i can use it. lol
