anyone who has seen Platinum Weddings...help?

please tell me how they did this!!
*go to the link and check out episodes...click on jennifer and mark slideshow and picture 10 looks like there is blue lights, purple lights and pink lights...does anyone know how to do this? are they colored lights or something place infront of or over the lights? also anyone have a guestimate for what this type of thing would cost? thanks u sooo much

Uplights for the most part. We are doing something similar for our wedding. If you are on a budget, find a local theatre rental company and talk to them. We have one near us we spoke to (after talking to a wedding designer that was going to charge $45 a light and a $100 set up fee!) and they rent lights for around $8 each.

This was done with a professional lighting company. the lights have different colored plastic film that slides over the lights themselves. You may want to check lighting companies in your area to check prices, but also you may want to see how some battery operated lights would work for you. I know people who have used those tap lights that they bought at the dollar store, you have to use a few of them but the effect is the same.
