My friend is devistated. THeir wedding is in December. Long story short, it was a nice, quiet wedding, reception/brunch, now it's ALL OFF. Something horrible happened and they're broke. They'll have about 3 grand and that's it. They'd still like a ceremony and reception. Any party planning people out there who have some suggestions for her?

my sister is getting married next weekend. me & my other sis ((the maid of honor)) wanted to pull a prank or 2 during the reception. nothing inapropriate though.
something fun and creative that everyone will laugh at.
our family is very sarcastic and we joke around so she knows somethings coming. the groom wont mind either.
we don't want to do anything mean or damaging to her or her dress

what are some good ideas that aren't inapropriate or mean?

My mom passed away in April of 2006 and I am getting married 3 weeks from today. I am looking for a song to play during the reception in memory and honor of her, we were extremely close. Any ideas? Christian ones would be excellent too, her faith meant everything to her. And I know the Boyz II Men song is popular but I don't really like it. Thanks for your help!

I have been asked to do a reading in the chapel at my friends wedding. She doesn't want a bible reading and I have found some poems that I could read as a last resort if I can't find anything else - but I just thought I'd ask you lot to see if you had any ideas for me... I could write something I guess.. but I'm not very inspired at the moment... please help!

I went to a wedding last Saturday and songs like The Chicken Dance, YMCA, Cha Cha Slide, Macarena, and such were played and it seems they were more fun to dance to than any others! Another good one is Old Time Rock and Roll. Can anyone else tell me some others that are good and really get you up and moving around and having a fun time?

We are looking for something scenic, with beach access, and not too ultra modern looking. Maybe even something historical would be ideal, but not a must. Thanks!

My fiance and I are trying to have the most ethical wedding possible to fit our lifestyles so obviously we not going to have wedding band because we do not like the fine metals industry and their use of slaves. What is a good alternative to wedding band? something that we can use during the ceremony and forever?

I'm going to make my veil because I believe the prices on them are just outrages (sp?). I did find one that would go perfect with my dress and will duplicate it, it has teardrop crystals hanging from it (scalloped edge - crystals are hanging from the "up" point). My question is...what do you all think about putting colored crytals instead of clear? My girls will be wearing blue (navy & baby) and I found blue teardrop crystals. Also the veil won't be overpowered by the crystals maybe just a dozen or so NOT totally lined with the crystals.

Thank you in advance ;)

My fiancee was born and raised Catholic, but hasn't been going for the last four or five years. I was baptized Catholic, Confirmed Lutheran and ended up practicing as an evangelical Christian up until two years ago. Now for the last two years we have gones to various different churches every once in and awhile but mostly have worshipped at home.
What churches can we marry in? Most denominations seem to either require a baptism, a membership or something else!
Any suggestions? Requirements are: Must be a Christian church, and not United. If you can add in any requirements that you know of that would be great, thanks :-D

This is my engagement ring: http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2088539&fbc=0

My fiance really likes this wedding band:
http://secure.jamesavery.com/jewelry/search/product/WB-1A/Pattee-Cross-Wedding-Band/

I like the wedding band as well, but I don't think it will work with my engagement ring -- which I LOVE (and he picked it out all on his own!!!), and I want to be able to wear it all the time.

\Do you think the rings would go together?
I'm thinking of suggesting that I get a plain white gold wedding band and he get the ring he likes, but I don't want him to be disappointed that our rings don't match. Would that be OK?
