They should weigh enough that it takes time to take them off first thing on you honeymoon, preferably they should require assistance in taking them off.

It depends on the dress . . . and the material from which it is made. Does it have a train?
Maybe you can weigh yourself both with and without the gown, to find out?

I sell wedding gowns online so I usually have to ship them. The weight varies depending on the length, material, fullness, layers ext but most of my gowns are 2-4 KG for shipping.

it depends on the dress, the beading, the material, etc. They have 1 million + styles and they all weigh 100 + different from each other.
