This is my engagement ring: http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2088539&fbc=0
My fiance really likes this wedding band:
http://secure.jamesavery.com/jewelry/search/product/WB-1A/Pattee-Cross-Wedding-Band/
I like the wedding band as well, but I don't think it will work with my engagement ring -- which I LOVE (and he picked it out all on his own!!!), and I want to be able to wear it all the time.
\Do you think the rings would go together?
I'm thinking of suggesting that I get a plain white gold wedding band and he get the ring he likes, but I don't want him to be disappointed that our rings don't match. Would that be OK?

I know the two rings wouldn't work together on the same hand, haha!
I've been thinking just a plain white gold wedding band for myself. I was wondering how this would look next to the other one (his) for wedding pictures and so forth, and/or if it would look ok to have them on opposite hands (since they are so different).

Well they definitely don't go together, do they? Try www.titaniumworkshop.com to see if there is something else with a design on it that would go better with your ring...
Its going to be hard to find something to go with your ring, unless you get the anniversary bands with the diamonds in it, or just a plain white gold band.

I wouldn't wear those 2 rings together on the same finger--but there's no law that says you have to wear your engagement ring above your wedding band. If you like both rings, then what I would probably do is wear the wedding band on my left hand, the engagement ring on the right.
And the husband's and wife's wedding bands don't have to be the same either. My husband has a simple, white gold band, and I have a diamond band. We originally both had yellow gold bands, but got new rings a few years ago.

I know many couples whose wedding bands don't match. For myself, I wanted a matching ring. However, our wedding band are much more simple than the one you suggest, they really don't go with the engagement ring, at least not on one finger. You could continue wearing your engagement ring on your right hand and the wedding band on your left, or simply opt for a simple white gold band; not having a matching band is your choice. I personally would have never wanted another ring but the one that matches my husband's

They don't go together, that's for sure. Your wedding ring certainly does not have to match his.Let him wear that one and you can get a much smaller and thinner white gold one. Personally I think you should just use your engagement ring as your wedding ring. It already looks a lot like a band and you don't need two.

Who cares if they don't match? No one will notice unless you point it out.
My wedding band is white gold with an engraved design and my fiance's band is a yellow gold signet ring with a sapphire (my engagement ring is a sapphire) that he had to have custom made. He wanted something that he would love to wear on a daily basis and that was different from the typical men's rings. And he's so excited to wear it! I think I'm going to have to hide it soon because he keeps wanting to try it on.
And that's the point, right? To be excited about your ring and what it represents.

my suggestion...dont by that wedding ring. I like it...I think its nice and different, but its gold and silver and silver will tarnish...I have a silver bracelet...yes...it is silver and its basically a copper colour now. I have to polish it all the time and its a royal pain. my brothers silver chain did the same. you dont what that for your wedding ring. as for them going together...not really, but what you could always do is wear your engagement ring on your other hand and wear a wedding band that doesnt match. or just get another ring. my husband and I have matching wedding rings, but come March next year when I get him a new one for our 3 year anniversary we wont. they dont need to match. its just a symbol of your love and commitment.

These rings will not look good together on the same finger - however, after you're married, you can move your engagement ring onto your right hand, and wear your wedding band on your left hand. They don't have to be worn on the same finger.

The rings don't have to match. If that is the ring he is happy with then why not go for it? You can always change the ring in the future. Your ring is beautiful and you might want to consider searching out jamesallen.com to compare prices. My husband bought my ring online and because they cut out the retailer -- we were able to get a nice ring thousands of dollars cheaper. But don't take my word for it, check it out yourself! You two will be able to save money and put it towards your wedding :)

i dont think the band would work at all.
its a totally different style.
i have a 1/2 ct. 3 ston ring as well and for my wedding band i have a 1/2 ct "anniversary" diamond band. it looks great together.
something like that would work with oyurs or just a plain band, but the one you showed might not look right with it.

Your ring is okay, but you need just a plain wedding band to go with it, or maybe one with a few channel diamonds going across.
I love the wedding band for the man - it's very classy and meaningful. It's not for you.
The rings don't have to match.
