Hi, it's me again, I know my question was resolved, but now that my bf and I are gonna live together I was thinking that maybe we could live in an apartment with 2 bedrooms, so he can have his privacy and I can have mine, not that we're not gonna sleep together, but I think it's better to respect eachother space, besides I've heard of a lot of couples that do that and their relationships are better and they don't argue as much as couples who have just one room for both. I mean, whenever we feel like being alone, or maybe I have work to do and he wants to watch tv or viceversa, instead of taking turns or even arguing, we can have our own privacy, I think that way the relationship will be better, I told my bf and he thinks it's a good idea. What do you think?

My friend is getting married in two weeks, and they don't have a wedding registry. I'd like to get them something practical, but what should I get?

My wedding is in a week and a half and I am still trying to put the program together. I know, I know...It should already be done! I have been to weddings and they have had dancers or soloists. I do not have a soloist and early on, we decided not to have dancer(s) because it is so cliche now. What are some other artistic things we can do to basically kill time?

Oh yeah, the wedding is in a church!

my bride to be has her dream wedding planned, and her parents willing to pay, but their ideas are different, with the response usually being, well, we are paying for it, so we get the last decision..........its not the issue of cost, my gf wants a simpler wedding, they are picking the colors, flowers,cakes..........ect,ect.........we give our idea, then they tell the people what we want......is this right?

I'm going to a wedding in two weeks where my bf is bestman. Unfortunately, although I have a good job, money is very tight lately. My bf and I are going abroad just after the wedding. We just had our anniversary so bought him a gift for that, plus Father's Day and Mother's Day gifts as well as birthday presents for 4 family birthdays in July and August. On top of this, I've just found out that my car needs some major repairs totalling over $1,000... plus rent, insurance, student loans, etc etc...

I have no money to spend on a wedding gift. Even $50 will be a stretch for me right now. I feel awful! Should I just bite the bullet and put $50 in with my bf's gift? (They want cash.) Or is there something else I can do instead? My bf said it's okay if I don't put any money in with his (he would still sign both our names on the card) and I know a gift isn't mandatory, but they're good friends and I feel really bad not giving something...

Any suggestions or opinions are appreciated!

I have a color scheme planned for my wedding, and in it, I want the guys to wear chocolate brown suits. Is it wrong of me to want them to wear brown and not be willing to settle for them in black? Or should I just alter my plans to accommodate the fact that no one owns a brown suit and it's an expense they can't all afford?

The wedding is in almost 4 weeks, and I know that I (groom) and the rest of my guys need to go for our tuxes at the 2-3 week prior mark.

My fiance wants her nephews to be the ring bearers, and my mom-in-law wants them to be in tuxes too. I went to get quotes from Al's Formal Wear, and it came out to be around $160 for the grown ups, and about $60 for the ring bearers because we are getting a discount on them.

And yes, money is an issue. My father-in-law would be paying for his, his son's (my groomsman), and for the ringbears. so about $450 on his part.

Now, being that we are having a traditional wedding, would it be okay if we went with some really nice suits? I know it's my wedding and I get to decide what we wear, but I dont want it to look tacky.

I also dont like the idea of spending sooo much on rentals, and not getting to keep any of the tuxes!!

Has anyone gone with suits for their wedding attire and where did you get them??

Thanks for your answers...

My fiancee and I are in disagreement over DJ instructions. I think its appropiate to give a DJ a list of music types (modern rock, fifties rock), while he insists that you must give them a complete list of every song that's to be played over the course of the evening... HELP!! Who's right? and is there a way to compromise on this?

I know that you lose quality by going to mall jewelry stores... however, we visited a few private jewelers and we really couldn't find anything that we liked at the price range we're looking at (~$2000). I'm not into anything big and fancy and honestly, I just want a pretty looking ring. I don't care about having the best diamond out there so long as it's not COMPLETELY, obviously crappy. I don't want to spend 2 grand on tiny stones either... no matter how "spectacular" and "brilliant" they are. My dad got spent a ton on a tiny diamond pendant for my mom and it didn't even look like it was worth it, though supposedly it's got fantastic brilliance and clarity. It looks tiny.

Mall stores offer good financing deals, I've been seeing... like no interest for 12 months. Do private places offer any kind of financing?

We're not rich, but we're not dirt poor either. I'd rather put money away for a wedding, a future house and vacations than on a diamond ring... $2000 is fine with me.

I don't understand something though. Do the rings come apart or are they glued together or welded? I know nothing concerning these things. I do appreciate your opinion. I thank you in advance!

I know many couples choose to change obey to cherish, but does anyone have any suggestions as to what else to change it to? I've never liked the word cherish, for some strange reason, and me saying it would feel... forced and ackward. But I'm having trouble thinking of a word to substitute it with.

Any ideas?

My fiance and I have started looking for an engagement ring. I am leaning toward a radiant or priness cut diamond ring in white gold. I know all about the 4 C's but was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get a good deal on a ring? I know some chain jewelry stores are really over priced. Any tips?

I'm supposed to get married in South Lake Tahoe in less than 2 months... and it's on fire. Over 200 structures have burned.

I want my sister and three of my closest friends to be my bridesmaids. The problem is none of them know each other and they all live in separate parts of the country. My sister lives in Milwaukee, my best friend from college lives in Arizona, my best friend from high school lives in New York and my final bridesmaid-to-be lives in California. What do I do? Should I ask friends who are in the area and know each other even if they aren't as emotionally close to me?

Alright ladies and gents, i'm giving up and thinking about buying an engagement ring. I need all the advise possible from you guys before I go out, do some research, and then ultimately buy one. Average cost? Any reputable online stores to look at? I'm only going to spend about $1500 and then later down the road buy something really nice. Just give me any advice possible on choosing a ring. I need it.
