A masqued ball for the reception would be imperative.

Make a tomb stones that says R.I.P. with your guys name on them.
Decorate with pumpkins & carved jack-o-lanterns.
Play Hoalloween music for the ceromony music.
Have everyone to dress up in costums. "Brides mom a witch" Have a black cat at the end on the pew. Have the witch carry a broom (in some culture weddings the bride & groom jump over a broom at the end of the ceromony) Black & white table clothes with fake blood on them & dripping candles.
Will the wedding be inside or out?
Make the reception food look like Halloween food
green jello with spiders, meatball eyes, organ punch, pigs in a blanket or fingers in a blanket.
Make it a darker room with white & organ lighting & smoke.
At the wedding book put "Thing" (the hand that is alive on the Adam's Family) there holding the pen.
It sounds like a lot but you could buy everything @ Wal-mart including to smoke machine @ a cheap price & you can reuse everything for your Halloween Anniversary Party.

I wouldn't go over the top for the actual wedding as you will want to look back at the photos with pride in 3o years time. But a halloween themed party with pumpkin lamps and pumpkin pie and halloween dress for the guests and themed food (hard boiled eggs coloured to look like eyes, sausages dipped in red sauce for bloody fingers etc) sounds like a great idea. Music based on halloween (I put a spell on you, Devil Woman. That Old black Magic. Monster mash etc.) Cool.

Request that guests come in costume. Have the flower girl throw that pumpkin sequins that you decorate tables with. Orange and purple flowers. Pumpkin flavored wedding cake (really good, my friend had it), don't know how you would do it unless it was the night before, but Jack-O-Lantern centerpieces- or buy fake pumpkins and do it. Buy those little plastic bags they sell during halloween and people put candy in them- use them for giveaways with black and orange M&Ms or something.
That's all I got at the moment. Oh, have those creepy sounds CDs playing lightly during the ceremony or the reception. And see if your caterer can get on board and make some weird stuff with creepy names (like grapes would be Witch Eyeballs).

Hey,
You are my idol!! I asked for a halloween wedding and i was told we are getting divorced before we are married!! Anyways http://www.orientaltrading.com just type in halloween they have a ton of stuff and not to expensive! Once you get through some of the kiddie stuff they have tombs and realistic eyeballs! You could get floating candle bowls and put the eyeballs in them as a centerpiece!! They also have little skeleton heads for favors or something like that!! Wish i could come!! Good Luck i'm sure youll have a blast planning it!

Okay this sounds like such a cool wedding! I think a great idea is to have the reception be a masquerade ball!! That would still be Halloween-ish and yet classy!! Have so much fun with this and report back to us!!!

Have the priest be the grim reaper...Have all the grooms men be dead grooms and all the bridesmaids be dead brides. For instance get grey bridesmade dresses and cut up their veils and rip some of the dresses to make them look old. Get some good costume makeup for them also.......same with the flower girl...have her through dead roses and be a dead flower girl with her dress like the bridesmades. Have a cake with like beetle juice decorations and spider webs on it. Have orange and black confetti on the tables with dead flowers in a bowl and have black spider webs hanging around the reception room...etc sounds like fun! good luck

Why are you making such a joke out of your wedding? I understand the theme and the fun natured side of it but can't that be done with decorations or the flowers? It just seems that you only do this once (hopefully) and it should be a serious and monumental occassion instead of a lighthearted game or party. You may want to scale down just a bit and maybe have the reception be a costume party but the ceremony itself should be taken seriously.
