I really like this a lot. I think it is gorgeous and it looks like something I would like to see on my Sweetheart's finger forever.

I don't understand something though. Do the rings come apart or are they glued together or welded? I know nothing concerning these things. I do appreciate your opinion. I thank you in advance!

Hi Alan G!! This is an old-fashioned type of setting & the rings are made to nestle together as one on your sweeties' finger. My mom had one very similar to this & my ring from my 2nd husband was like that, also. It's a lovely setting & not a bad price. Shop around, tho - as a girl who knows her jewelry & her diamonds, my advice to you is to shop it. Compare prices, visit pawn shops ( no kidding; sometimes you can get a larger, nicer stone for the same $ ), go to Jared. Nothing wrong with a diamond ring from Walmart, but you want the best value for your money. Any stone you purchase should be free from visible flaws; ask to see it under a microscope. Nothing worse than looking into your diamond & seeing a hunk of carbon! I'm a fan of the sweet old-fashioned settings & I think this one is pretty. Don't buy it on-line, tho - go look at the ring at the store. You stand a better chance of getting a better stone that way. Good luck & congratulations!!!

EDIT: I got to thinking about this - you have highlighted the white gold ring, but this also comes in yellow gold. Which is her preferrence? Which color jewelry does she wear most often? That would be your guide as to which color you should buy. Also, the white gold does make the diamonds appear larger, but the yellow gold seems to be much more popular for wedding sets. I didn't say there was anything at all wrong with getting the ring from Walmart, but should you choose to do so be sure to see the ring in person first before buying it.
Have them ship it to the store if possible, so you can examine it & either buy or reject. I really don't think I'd buy a diamond sight unseen, but that's just me.......Have a great day!!!

Alan G, forget the set and buy your sweetheart a 1 carat diamond ring instead. The rings come apart. Then she can choose a simple wedding band to go with it. You are paying alot for a very small diamond because it is a set, so I would look further. Wallmart is not the place to buy a diamond ring. Try other websites like Kay jewelers and Fortunoffs.com. or maybe a discount jeweler in Nevada where you can have a ring made up to your specifications or do a search on line: such as: diamond engagement rings. Take a ride into a big town in your area and look for a good jeweler. You can do better than that particular ring.

It looks lovely. I like the white the best. White gold sets the diamonds off so much more!
Not sure how or if they come apart. You'll have to have a look in person.
Try ebay as well. There are online jewellers that sell rings and great prices too.
Make sure you know her ring size before you buy the ring!!
Get her sister or friend or someone to help you out with that one.
Good luck!! The day you propose will be so memorable!!
I've been engaged for over a week and i'm still buzzing with excitement!

This is very pretty-just be sure to find out if your sweetheart prefers white or yellow gold for her ring.

These rings are not attached-the wedding band just fits like a puzzle around the engagement ring. If your sweetheart chooses, she can have them soldered together-this is usually done after you marry. Soldering is a means of permanently attaching two metals by heating the metal pieces and melting a solder material that permanently fuses the metal pieces together. It differs from welding in that metals are welded by melting them so that they flow together and fuse without the use of solder.

Be sure to go to Wal-Mart to see this ring. They do have nice diamonds, but if you order this, they might give you diamonds that have a lot of dark carbon spots or inclusions. If you actually see the ring, look for clear diamonds.

God bless you on this new chapter in your life-go for it!

I think they come apart and fit together kinda like a puzzle.....from what it looks like you would give her the solitare part as the engagement ring and then use the other part for the wedding ring.

It is a pretty ring, but If it were me, I wouldn't like it....its a bit bulky for my taste, but then I have a solitare and a 2mm wedding band, so I'm into ULTRA dainty stuff. look at rings she wears, are they a little chunkier, or are they simple and delicate? If you think this is along her style lines then go for it, b/c it is still really pretty! Good luck and congrats on finding a girl you want to buy a ring for!

That is very pretty! There are two rings, which fit together specially. They are not soldered together. The ring with the bigger stone is the engagement ring, you would give the other at the wedding ceremony as the wedding band.
It's best not to get the rings soldered, most women like to have the option of wearing the wedding band alone at times.
I would go with yellow gold, though. It requires no upkeep, is a stronger metal, and is classic.

Pick what you like. It is your gift to her. Rings can be welded by a jeweler. That is usually not done until after the wedding. She wants to wear the engagement ring separately. The band is placed at the ceremony.
Congratulations and good luck.

The rings do come apart, so the wedding band portion does have the three diamonds and the niche so they fit together as in the photo.

I think it's lovely. My mom has the same set in gold, but I prefer the silver color.

I think they are very pretty rings, white gold and diamonds are very nice together, and what's more important is the fact that YOU like it as well. As far as I can tell these are two rings, you would give the "solitaire" one as the engagement ring and use the other one as the wedding band.

Two separate rings not glued nor welded. It sort of just click together I presume. Nice one by the way. Congratulations.
