How can i hint to my boyfriend that i want to get engage without just coming out with it.

My girl wants a big ring. I got her a decent ring (to my standards) but seems not to be enough. I own a real 1970 Olds 442 convertible which is a classic car. Got it appraised and I would actually get around $50K since it is in awesome shape. This is the price tag on the ring she wants. She suggested me to sell the car and get the ring since the car is just sitting there in storage and I only use it on special ocasions. She told me that this would be proof of my commitment to her: selling my beloved car and buying her the ring and making her happy.

What should I do?

My ex and I are the best of friends, and were even before dating. The dating was brief and troublesome, but we easily transitioned into friends with no hard feelings. There has been no romance between us for years. Now he is getting married and they both invited me. Isn't it disrespectful to attend?

The bed set and bathroom set I want is from Lily Pulister and they only offer it online at Macy's. I couldn't find any other collection that I like since I like the bright and wild designs. I even checked Bedbathandbeyond and Target but I couldn't find a set I like that was made in the USA (yes, I try only to buy USA made goods) and machine washable. An older bridal assistant mention people might not bother buying it if it's only online..... While the younger girl said she didn't see it as a problem.
What do you think? Is it a problem that it's only offered online?? Do you ever online shop for registry gifts? I personally never do... I always go to the store.
Thanks!!
(Please refrain from nasty comments about gift giving or registries, I am asking as a matter of convenience and don't need a lecture on the meaning of marriage.)

I have just been told that my grand mother might not be around for my wedding in sept '08. i would really like to have all my grandparents there. should i sacrifice my wedding plans and go for something simpler, sooner just to have her there or continue on with my plans and pray she is still around? I am not very close with her but i would still like her there.

Ok here's the deal: I'm a 20 year old girl she is 32, we were classmates last semester but we're still good friends. She invited me to her bridal shower and as far as I know some kind of gift is offered in this occasion but I'm not sure what exactly. I'm Muslum and foreign and she's an American Christian, what should I offer her ( something usual to her culture and religion) I mean what do you guys usually give to women for their wedding

Thank you :)

Oh and also how is the gift offered? Anything I should be aware of (things I should or should not do?) I don't wanna ask her directly

Thank u again

We are set to get married in 12 days. I found (by snooping) emails from him to other women talking about meeting them and getting busy with them. I dont know if he actually did it, but there were plans for him to meet these women and "hang out" and do other stuff with them. I am so sick to my stomach. I don't know if I should confront him or just let it go. I shouldn't have been in his emails anyway. Help me please...

My boyfriend is indian. We love each other. My parents get along with him just fine...but they don't want their daughter married to an indian guy... to make matters worse, he is somewhat hindu, and they are christian.

He told me his family would prefer him with an indian girl.

What do you guys think? Should i hold on to this relationship? I really love him and im going to college soon. I would like us to continue being so close.

If you are indian, would you marry a black person? Would you let your child marry a black person?

If you are black, would you marry an indian or let your child marry one?

If your H2B went out for a quiet drink with some friends for his stag night and told you all about it the next day, then over a week later decided to tell you that they went to a lap dancing bar and his 'friends' paid for him to get a private dance?
He knows I don't like these places and is in a bad mood with me because I'm not very happy about it.
He said he didn't want to wimp out infront of the guys!
I never had a stripper or anything like that for my hen night, not only because I think they're tacky, but I have too much respect for my fiance!
How would you feel?

My dad's second wife was very mean to me when I was younger and he wants to bring her to my wedding. They were married for 8 years and have been divorced for 9 years. He says she has changed and that he loves her. My mother does not want her there and she's paying for the wedding. I believe she probably has changed but I don't know what to do. I don't want to make my mother mad because she has done so much for me, but I also don't want to make my father mad because he is also paying for the wedding. I want him to be happy and I don't want to be a bridezilla. How do I deal with this? I told him how I felt and that I didn't want her to be there but he insists she has changed and he really wants her to be there with him.

My friends and I are going to a Tea Party this weekend. It is for one of our friends who is getting married in June. She didnt have an engagement party and we are thinking this Tea Party is like a Bridal Shower. Next month we are spending about $500 each to fly and attend her hens night then the following month we all have to pay even more to attend the wedding with our partners. So what I am asking is, Should I buy her a gift for the Tea Party ? and if so what sort of things do you buy ?

This is a good friend. She is eloping 7/07/07 and then having a church wedding 1/??/08. She doesn't have any money, she doesn't have a church or a hall booked. I am getting married Nov 3, 2007 and she is in my wedding (dress already bought). When I agreed to be in her wedding I thought it was for 1/??/09. Now, I am pressed for money and confused!! She is doing everything backwards and instead of booking a hall or cater she is now picking out bridemaids dress for us to buy!!! If I tell her I can't be in the wedding, she'll be CRUSHED. I keep telling her to book a hall or a cater first- and she doesn't want to listion. I personally think she doesn't have the money for a deposit so that's why she is doing things in this order. And I am afraid she'll have us buy dress and the wedding won't really happen when she thinks it's going to happen because she being soo careless about the hall.
What do I do??
I don't have the time or money for this right now!!??

FIrst and foremost let me clarify that "The Guy" that is in the wedding as the MAN OF HONOR is FAMILY!!!! He helped me raise my sisters! Yes I realize that I should have had all my sisters as bridesmaids... just like in the beginning I THOUGHT I was having a small wedding. My friends as much sisters as they are friends! These are the people who have been there for me in most ways you can imagine... so yes I picked from a hat. And I did think it was fair.... I am asking what is the best thing to say... not critizim on a day I want to be special to me as well as for my siblings! If you can not be help other than hurtful than DON'T ANSWER!! I would never pick over my blood! maybe I worded it wrong but I truly want my sister to feel included! When you have a family as big as mine, you tend to have some things slip cracks. I never meant to offend anyone can I get some REAL advice? She is 15. My other sisters don't seem to mine, they are still walking down the aisle with wedding colors!

Ok, so I want to have my wedding on St. Patricks Day next year. It's a irish/celtic wedding, so I figured it would be perfect. But it lands on a monday. I really want to have in on that monday, not only for that reason, but also because it would be a lot cheaper. I'm working with a limited budget, and at the places I'm looking at for holding everything, the difference between a monday and a saturday is around $2,500. The only thing I've heard against it is that there might be maybe 3 or 4 people (out of a 100) who might not be able to make it. My step-mother thinks it rude of me to exclude them out that way, mostly because it's her sisters. So, should I stay with the Monday, and have a nicer wedding, but a few less people, or on Sat., a not so nice wedding, and everyone gets to come?

My fiance(?) and I tell everyone we're getting married. She tells her friends, family, and clients. I do the same. The only thing is, I haven't proposed yet! I don't even have a ring.

Here's the kicker. We live together, we've been together for 4 months, and we're totally in love. We're in our mid 20's, have very good jobs, financially secure, and totally want to get married! Do I wait until July? Or do it next weekend in the Bahamas on our trip!?

My fiance and I are not interested in spending $30,000 on a wedding reception. We live in Connecticut (which is expensive as it is) and were wondering if it would be more cost-effective to rent a tent (and, I guess, port-a-potties) and go with a great inexpensive caterer (we are not having a super formal wedding). Many of the local banquet halls in the area cost about $100/person (we have big families and are probably having a 200-250 person wedding).

Why do most guys not give a f*ck about females? First he says that he doesn't know if he wants to be with me...then he says that he doesn't...then he says he wants to marry me and have a baby with me...then he doesn't even want to be my friend. He's 22 and I'm about to be 20. He wont tell me whether or not if I've done something wrong. OMG! I don't know what to do.
Please give advice for a broken heart and on what the hell to do about this. Also, please give me your age...Thanks
