I got invited to my cusins bridal shower, but not to her wedding. I think It was rude. The impression I'm getting is she just wants my gift but doesn't want me at the wedding. They claim it was bacause they were having a small wedding.

Ok...I have a huge problem and I hope someone can help me.....I am getting married next July 2008 and I am Catholic and my husband to be is right now nothing. I am not a strict Catholic and all that bull and I just need my husband to be to get baptized. I have a protestant minister to baptize him quick so we have proof he's something but can we then get married on the beach? If he got baptized protestant we would most likely have a minister as the person doing the ceremony.......is it possible for a Catholic priest to do a beach ceremony especially when the groom isn't Catholic???
Please give me what you know! I'm having this beach wedding one way or another!

My friend is getting married 7/7/07 in Vegas and then redoing the whole thing in Jan.... long story short... she is going to have the whole traditional wedding... and wants a shower and everything. I wanted to do something nice to recognize her eloping.... but I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I'll be buying her gifts in the future... plus I have my own wedding to pay for. Anything other then a card that I can do or give her to recognize her first wedding day? I tried calling the chapel to buy them a drink or something but they want a freaken $100!! Or is a card ok?

My fiance and I are going to dance our first dance as Husband and Wife to "This I swear " by Nick Lachey. After the second verse is finsished we want the DJ to play like 10 seconds of scrambled music (like he messed up the song, but really its all an act), then cut in with "The way you make me feel" by Michael Jackson, then we will dance a rehersed dance. We think this will be a really cool idea to get the guests in party mode. Do you think thsi is a good idea?

CURLING STRAIGHT HAIR AND IT HOLDING THE CURL FOR SEVERAL HOURS? My wedding is in July and I want to wear my hair half-up/ half-down and really wavy like the pics. My main question is how do I make my hair curl the best and HOLD the curl for several hours?

Also, my elbow-length veil will start at the top of the back of my head and will not cover my face.
What do I need to use to pull my hair half-up that won't be too much in the way of the comb on my veil (or whatever it's called that holds the veil on)?

My bf is catholic and I am christian UCC. We do not attend church regularly so as we were dating it didn't seem like a big deal. now that we are talking about marriage and he told me everything i have to do to marry him since i'm not catholic...it's scaring me a little. he is very traditional and as I think thats great...there's just some things i'm uneasy about like...I think we should live together before we're married, he doesn't. he thinks it's important that he gets married in his church and thats a little uncomfortable for me... I always wanted to have a small wedding on the beach somewhere...he says catholics only get married in the catholic church or it's not recognized as he is married. Anyone have any insight? how does it work to get married to a catholic when i am not one?

I have a wedding that is coming up in less than a month. I have some family who isn't going to make it. One of my cousins states she can't make it because she doesn't have money. The other cousin took a last minute spring break trip to Mexico, and now she doesn't have money to fly out. I feel very disappointed ($120 roundtrip flight.) I told them about the wedding last July. So it's not like they didn't have time. And the first cousin lives in the same city as the wedding. It's not like I expect them to come bearing gifts. I would be fine with just them showing up. I'm sooo pissed off I'm pretty much ready to cut all ties with them. Am I being unreasonable.

I am the oldest of 6 and my mother put me through hell when I planned my wedding, but she is at it again with my youngest sister. She is insisting that she needs to invite a number people that we don't know; but they are freinds of my mothers. She is also refusing to offer the monetary help that they offered for all of us because she wants to have her reception at a place that my mother insists is way too over priced. (the difference between the two was about 1,000 dollars).

The place that they selected is close to the church, but of course it is not the church my mother is picking.....

Okay, my two soon to be sister in laws are driving me off my friggin head!! Is it me or are they bitches. The first one was complaining about reletives staying at her fathers home for our wedding this fall, and she said to me, why don't they stay at your f****** house, they are here to see you, (they are not staying at her house so why do she care), now the second sister is a bridesmaid in our wedding and she complains about everything from buying a dress to help with the shower. Their dresses were only $100.00 and she won't pay her portion of the cost of the shower, it would not bother me but she agreed to but when it came time to pay she refused. Also, I picked up her shoes for the wedding and her little girls flower girl dress and she won't pay me back. Oh they are driving me nuts. Do you think they are being hard to get along with or am I just a sap.

He is a widower and has 2 kids that are 11 and 6. I love him and the kids very much and want to be with them for the rest of my life. We are also planning on having another baby after we are married. Everyone was fine with this until we got engaged, now his best friend (and best man at the wedding) is saying hes not sure if he will stand in the wedding cuz he doesn't know if he agrees with us getting married.
