I'm mormon, so our weddings are usually in one of our temples. However we don't want the traditional mormon wedding because we want all of our families there (you have to meet certain standards before you can enter our temples), so now I'm not exactly sure what to do. What are the standard traditions for getting married? I'm not so concerned with who pays for what, as we are going to pay for the majority of it ourselves, but I'm wondering about other things. Like I've heard of the bride giving gifts to the bridesmaids? Any advice anyone can give would be helpful. I'm only familiar with receptions.

I mean why do we need two rings if we finally only wear the wedding ring? I mean it's such a waste?!

I am searching for a wedding dress. I want it to have spaghetti straps and a certain kind of train. Problem is most of the dresses I find that I like have no straps. This is becoming frustrating, looking at the same websites over and over. So I was thinking maybe I could just find the dress and have a tailor sew some on. Is this wise or should I find a dress that already has straps. ????

I am a graphic designer that wants to start my own business and was wondering how much your printer/designer charged you.

Also, how much/little would you be willing to spend?

My wife's cousin was the maid of honor in our wedding last year. Now my wife is going to be the matron of honor in her cousin's wedding this year. Nobody knows it yet, but my wife will be 7 months pregnant at that point. Her cousin is very concerned with having a "fairy tale" wedding and wants things to look good. She has made commments to my wife like, "You're not going to be pregnant in my wedding are you?" several times. We're planning on telling everyone after the first doctor's visit, but are we being rude by not starting a family until after the wedding or is she being rude by implying that we wait?

I am right now 21 years old and doing my graduation and aim at becoming a professional. However my parents cannot afford to pay for further studies and right now I am getting many marriage proposals. I really want to prove myself and dream of a beautiful career. Thus I have only two options: work and save my money for my master degree or accept to get married. which one would you choose if you were me? And one more thing can we study effectively once a girl is married or there are too much responsibilities in a marriage?

My mother in law offered to pay for the flowers in my upcoming wedding. My parents are paying for the reception. As a couple, we picked out the food for the reception and we picked the colors of our flowers. My mother in law asked to change the color of the corsages as they may "clash" My theme is yellow. Am I being to sensitive? Also they are covering the rehersal dinner and she picked out all the choices for food...without our input. What do you think?

My fiance and I are remembering our deceased grandmothers with bouquets of their favorite flowers at our wedding ceremony. Any ideas for remembering grandfathers? My one grandfather loved to drink brandy...but I obviously shouldn't put a bottle of brandy up at the front of the church...any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks!!

For a doctor and his wife (who is not a doctor) I am wondering how to address the envelopes. I know that the outer envelope is addressed to Dr. and Mrs. John Smith. I am wondering if the inside should be Dr. and Mrs. Smith or The Smiths. Everyone else is Mr. and Mrs. Doe on the inside, but I could change those to The Does or The Doe Family.. please help!

If so, what month was did you choose? How did you decorate (did you have an arbor?)? How many guests did you have? Is there another charge once the $60 application is accepted? Where did you hold the reception? I am looking for ideas on how other people accomplished their outdoor wedding- can you tell? Thanks!
