Weddings - April 2007

We are going to have many out of town guests come in for our wedding, so we are making "wedding welcome bags" , please give us any ideas or suggestions you have for what we could put in the bags. Preferably inexpensive items, we are on a budget with these bags. Also, I am very crafty if you have any creative ideas as well.

it has this arch and mosaic decorated walls around with fish drawings.i like it so much and would like to do my wedding ceremony and reception.but i dont want it to be expensive so i decided to make the decorations myself but i need help in what to do and if there any site that would help me do them.

A mate needs help. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere where it's just the two of them in a beautiful setting - any suggestions? Cannot be regardless of cost or time it takes to get there (i.e. more than an approx 5 hour flight) so unfortunately the easiest options in faraway places (they're in the UK) would be off the cards, but otherwise price isn't an issue.

I am having seven bridesmaids.. and I have chosen this bill levkoff dress, the picture shows it in camel and what not, but I have chosen to have the dress black, with the white sash.

To give you a better idea... the seven bridesmaids will be in these dresses, and I am planning on having a mixture of white magnolias, roses, and hints of purple hydrangeas. The flower girls, have white dresses with Black sashs (just opposite the bridesmaids) and will be throwing white rose petals.

I just read in a response to another question that black is bad luck... anyone else heard that????

If you are getting married, or just want to give your opinion, are you ignoring some 'traditions', just because the meaning behind them is so old, they have become meaning-less? Or are you on board with all of it, like tossing the bouquet to all of your single girlfriends, even though most have been divorced twice already and have 3 kids each?

They misspell your future mother in law's name!!
Her name went from Barb to Barn.
I double checked my paperwork and emails, and I spelled it Barb, so I FWD'd the original e-mails and let them know about the error.
Do you think they should reprint it?
I don't really care, but I think my FMIL might be upset.

My fella and I have been together for 3years and 2mthsbut he wont commit to me. He stays with me but i pay for everything. I'm 27 my fiancee is 34. We've been together two years and just got engaged! We both are atheists though raised Christian. My mother keeps saying to me make sure to have a priest. Why would two atheists be married by a priest? Who would marry us anyways? We want a secular marriage, she wants a religious one. I want to find a middle ground like have a non religious officiant but let a reading or prayer be said by a friend or family member during the section we would have other poems or readings. They have already put money into a CD to save for the wedding and my fiancee and I are saving as well, I still feel that because they are contributing a large amount of money to the wedding that I have no ground to have a wedding that I won't dread. I don't want to feel like I am a kid being dragged to church because my mother wants me to be Christian. Please any suggestions for dealing with this situation in a loving and open manner without having beliefs forced on us at our wedding.

Me and my husband just got married 6 ths ago and on monday he just left to his parents house cause he told me that he needed a break. She tested negative for the virus but their wedding is only days away. All the preparations have been made & invitations sent, etc. Her family has been looking forward to this for some time & everybody's very excited. We're still waiting on our pictures from our wedding to come in.

How long was it before yours came in? How long did it take the albums to be put together once the pictures were in & did you get to select pictures, for example, for parent or family albums?

Just curious how long it took others. I'm still waiting on mine from March 17th. :)
