They misspell your future mother in law's name!!
Her name went from Barb to Barn.
I double checked my paperwork and emails, and I spelled it Barb, so I FWD'd the original e-mails and let them know about the error.
Do you think they should reprint it?
I don't really care, but I think my FMIL might be upset.

I would demand that they reprint for free!! Annoucements are very expensive to print....They owe you that for their mistake!! Don't take no for an answer!!

most likely they will not reprint it. Just tell Barb the paper messed it up, it wasn't your fault and you are really sorry it happened. If she can't get over it, oh well. You have too many other things to worry about now. If that is the worst thing to happen during all the planning, you have nothing to worry about!!! Who knows, maybe in years to come you can even laugh about it. She might not , but you will ;o)

Hehehe that's pretty funny, if you ever get to a point where you don't like "Barn" you can laugh about it!

You can notify the paper if you want, but I wouldn't expect much in the way of reprinting it or making it right.

If Barn doesn't understand that it was the paper's fault, you are in for an interesting marriage.

Name that had printed in a card is really important. You should not misspelled it. The receiver of the card might upset upon seeing that their name is written incorrectly. Since you had spelled it correctly and it was not your fault. You had the right to tell the company to reprint it. If the misspelled card had already been given to you. You had the right to returned it.

My mother posted my announcement in the paper and put our actual wedding date in there. My FMIL was going to announce it in her paper as well (different state) and sent us the form. She advised us not to put the actual date as people would know when she is out of town. We do not live in the town we are getting married and now I am nervous that people will know I'm away then and someone could break in. Make sure you do not use your actual date when announcing your wedding!

YES call the paper and insist they reprint it for free. That is horrible that she went from barb to barN. They are stupid down at that paper.

They should reprint or at least mention the error.

And you FMIL should not be upset, at you anyway, since you did not spell her name wrong.

Yes, they should reprint. My local paper lost my daughter's picture. I was furious.
