Your written contract specifies what footage you get and what you can do with it, period. That is what is called a "license", and is what you normally pay for, in addition to the photographer's talent, equipment, and time to make the video in the first place. The paragraph you have offset with ** does not make a lot of sense. Why would a "client" wish to use footage to advertise for any potential OTHER clients?? Whoever wrote this "contract" certainly made a mess of things, not that you would have read it anyway.

I have a videographer that only charges 750.00 dollars and his work is great. Most charge 2,000 to 4,000 dollars. I was wary about hiring someone who charges such a low price but I got references from him and saw his work and I liked his work better than any other videographer! One of his past clients said she loves hers more than her friends who paid over 4,000!
The pictures are most important, my photographer charges 3,000. The video is really (dvd) for myself and my fiance/ husband.

I am not going to have to pay anything at all !!! Why not ask family members if they have a camcorder. It is cheaper, and you prob. could buy the blank tape cheaper than you could spend on hiring somebody professional.
