We're still waiting on our pictures from our wedding to come in.
How long was it before yours came in? How long did it take the albums to be put together once the pictures were in & did you get to select pictures, for example, for parent or family albums?
Just curious how long it took others. I'm still waiting on mine from March 17th. :)

I'm not concerned with my wait, I know one album (a fine art album with pictures put together) will take some time. Plus, the lady was fabulous so I know she'll continue to do well. I'm just curious about how long average is.

We received our proofs/previews a few weeks after the wedding. We kept our pictures for a couple of weeks to select our album. Once we return the proofs/previews with our selection it took another few weeks before we got our completed album. The entire process took about 2 months (2-3 to receive previews, 1-2 weeks to select pictures for the album, 2-3 weeks to complete the album).

I received my proofs close to just 3 weeks after the wedding. I was shocked--she said it would be about 6 weeks.
Then It took me a while to pick out the album b/c I was also getting 2 mothers albums with my wedding package. So she wanted us all to turn them in at the same time. So I believe it was close to 2 months after wedding. (Sometime end of August I think)
I had to put a lot of pressure on here b/c it was getting close to christmas and I wanted my mother/ MIL to get the albums at christmas. so she put a rush on it and we were able to pick it up a few days before christmas.
We got our album in either Feb/March--so 7-8 months after the wedding.
One of our good friends got married 3 weeks before us and they have no received their album yet. They got the proofs after about 2 mo and the album is still pending (10 mo)
I'd say the average wait time will be 8-10 months for your album. Did your photographer not mentioned anything about how long he/she normally takes to get albums back to you?

Most photographers say that you'll receive your proofs in about 4-6 weeks after your events

call the photographer and ask how much longer it will take. You havent waited too long. But you have the right to ask and preview the pics before getting a final copy.

1 week we chose all the photos and payed someone to put together books for every one in the wedding party

I would call up the place and ask how your pictures are coming along. Did it say anything on the contract or in your discussions about how long it would be to get your pictures?

.it took about 8 months for us to get ours back. and it was wrong and Then it took anther 3 weeks for them to correct it after that.. now its been 10 months and we still don't have or video. we were June 18Th 2006 .....
