Because you don't have a crucial position in the wedding party - you can be free to wear just about what you want! I don't know what city you live in, but depending on the 'weather', you can opt for something springy - multi-colored or solid colored dress, or even go dark. I have gone to afternoon weddings and wore a nice dress black pants suit with dress shoes and gold or silver jewelry to highlight the black. If the wedding is outdoors consider that you might need a cloak or shawl if it gets cool. Go for it - experiment and explore!

you do not say the position in the united kingdom the marriage is yet would is mostly a respectable type of month throughout. a wise summer season dress or in structure is nice. Hats are worn yet frequently by using the Bride and Groom's moms and relatives, including older Aunts etc. you do not might want to bypass the completed hog with the hat clothing, there are plenty hair decorations which will in structure all proper. Combs with kinds of attachments that you'll adventure for your dress or in structure. if you're wearing a dress i'd take the further precaution of having a suitable jacket to positioned on with it. those abbeys will be very chilly and also you'll have quite some waiting round to do outdoors at the same time as each and each and every of the images are taken. you may get rid of it later for the dancing. savour your self, they're truly better formal yet only until eventually after the speeches and then everybody loosens up particularly notably.

My sister once wore a Jessica McClintock black dress, it had white polka dots though. I'm not sure if it's appropriate though. If the wedding is in May, your best bet is probably to avoid long dresses because your legs may get hot, but I'm not too sure because I'm a guy. Try just a knee length dress, not white (you don't want to look like the bride!) and I guess not black. If you have to, maybe try the juniors section at a store if you're having trouble finding a size small enough.

Since it is a formal wedding, a black dress may work. I don't think a long one would be a good choice because you may get hot. Also, make sure you wear something with a little color to it with the black so it doesn't look like you're attending a funeral, but make sure whatever you're wearing doesn't outshine the bride or groom.

well defiantly a dress. its the spring so go with something colorful but with pastels not hot pink or anything. since its formal don't go with anything ummm summer dressey, if you know what i mean a nice long to knee lenght. And its always easy to go with a solid pattern and if you want to be more than plain i guess you would say.... get a solid pattern that the design of the dress is unique or whatever you want, like ? hope this helps

Black for the afternoon, especially for a wedding, might be considered rather gauche. It is a wedding after all, not a funeral.

I would recommend a light to medium colored tea-length dress. Nothing overstated...you don't want to catch too much of the attention on the bride's big day.

Its ok to wear black but i dont think one wears a long formal dress during the daytime unless in wedding party? Unless it is a very summery dress. It also depends on where the reception is. Does it say Black Tie on the invitation? If not short dress would be ok.

This ones pretty easy, depending where you are from and what the weather is like. You said its formal so a dress would be perfect.

I wouldn't go with black, it's spring. Do a light color like a light blue, or peach or something, or even off white would work.

A black dress might be ok but you could go for more colour. Just as long as you wear a long dress as you dont want to show to much leg in front of your boyfriends family! no what i mean? xxxx

If it is afternoon, I would say no black. I would also suggest a tea length dress.
