How can we tell my husband's sister that we won't be attending her destination wedding without her completely hating us? Am I the only one that thinks it's selfish to expect friends and family members to fork over thousands of dollars to attend a wedding? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Our first wedding was a disaster for the most part. We are going to do a renewing the vows ceremony. I want to know if it can be just like a real wedding.....I mean big dress, lots of people, a cake...stuff like that. Is that ok? can you give me any ideas also?

Ok here's the thing we live in the Washington DC area (VA). My fam from the south will be coming up here on the 15th. Now my mom is 47 but a young 47(we hang out sometimes) she doesn't want the traditional bridal shower u know cake & sitting in a room playing games. Keep in mind that this is her 3rd marriage....they say 3 is a charm. lol

I was thinking of renting a limo (it's like 10 women attending) going to dinner & hitting up a club & u know getting her the crown so that everyone knows she's getting married??? I'm really confused & at wits end & this is just next weekend!!! What should I do??

I've searched for pictures of what I am looking for, but am not having much luck.

I like roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, mini calla lilies, gerber daisies, and hydrangea.

I am getting married in July, and I know we REALLY need to get this figured out ASAP.

If you can help in any way, I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Thank you!

Is it rude or tacky to ask for money as a gift (on the invitation) to help us go on our honeymoon since we have been living together for 3 years and already have everyting we need or want?

We are getting married in August and are trying to cut costs. We have a web-page set up on theknot.com and you can have people RSVP online. Do you think this is tacky or a good way to save money (on response cards, envelopes, and stamps?)? We can also put hotel info. and additional details on the website...

My boyfriend and I have been together a year and a half, we're both 26. I'm a little confused at what he wants in the relationship. We live together, I take care of him, talk about marriage -- however, no ring. He'll bring it up one day and then the next talk about how he's still young and not ready. Its as if its a game to him. And please don't say, "your ohhh so young." 26 and unmarried is not that young for a woman, I don't want to have kids at...35! And if I bring marriage up to him he gets really defensive - HOWEVER its okay for HIM to bring it up whenever he wants it.

My friends think that instead of renewing our apartment lease in the summer, I should move out if he's not ready yet and get back to focussing more on "me." I don't want to do this, we've put so much time, effort into our place and I love living together--but if he is not ready to commit (by then we will have been together 2 years) then I think changes need to be made.

Suggestions please...I'm feeling pretty low right about now =(

I was going to get married at a country club, and have my reception following at the same place. Since I live in WI, I booked the actual wedding site based on a photo I saw. (http://southhillscc.com/index.cfm?nav_op... When I went to go look at the site this weekend, since the snow is gone, I discovered it is not on the golf course, or anywhere by it. It is right next to the entrance of the country club, in the back of the parking lot, and about 25 yards from the interstate! So I would be coming about 100 yards across the parking lot to the site in a golf cart- and then have my ceremony performed in front of every commuter on their way home and be surrounded by over 150 guests and golfers cars! I no longer want to have anything to do with this place, but I gave them $800 to hold my day- which I want back, and need to give to another hall. How do I make them give it to me, and what do I say? I don't want to threaten to take them to small claims, I just want my cash!

Ok. My friend is getting married in a few months and I am in charge of throwing the bachelorette party. We are having it at her house, and we live in a small town. I really need some good decoration ideas (her wedding colors are black and maroon), some good alcohol and food (appetizer type) ideas, and games, some fun original stuff for about 10 girls. Thanks!

She is too fat?

Here's the situation. After all her friends backed out of her wedding party and she was desperate for someone to be in her wedding party, I was volunteered. She said, "No, you are too tall and thin and you'll make me look bad on my wedding because I'm so short and fat." She really is a whale. I'm having my brother in the wedding party, but if she wants to know why I won't include her, should I tell her because she's too much of a blimp and I wouldn't want her to stick out and ruin the pictures? I hope she asks just so I can say that. What do you think?

If it weren't for the fact that she married my brother, I probably wouldn't even invite her. I mean, we have to pay for 3 or 4 extra meals to feed that cow...

My friend is trying to control her bridal shower. In the beginning she told us around 20-30 people. So we started planning it. She then told us our location...a clubhouse was tacky. So we are throwing it at this cute little cafe that caters, but it is $11 plus tax and tip a head. We were fine with it, but said we need to have a max of 25 friends. She called screaming at me because it won't be big enough. I just don't want to throw a shower for someone who is being ungrateful. It is me and one other girl (who is still on a college budget) throwing it. We can't afford it. Are we being unreasonable? What are we suppose to do? At this point, I want out. I thought this was supposed to be a gift. Not a REQUIREMENT.
