Try a cruise.
My fiance and I were just researching cruises. We were looking at the Carnival Cruise Line, where a 7 day cruise in the Caribbean is around $900 for two people, $1200 for a suite. A 14 day cruise is $1500 for two people, $2100 for a suite. Everything is included- food, activities, etc. They've got restaurants, nightclubs, casinos, and loads of amenities and activities I can't even remember. Plus, you get to visit lots of beautiful beaches!
The Carribean cruises leave from Florida. Southwest Airlines has cheap flights, usually under $100 (I know, because we are frequent flyers), so you can fly to Florida, no problem. You could even choose to stay a few days in Florida before your cruise leaves- visit some sights in Florida, like Disney, Epcott, Universal Studios, etc. There are numerous four or five star hotels in the Florida area for less than $150 a night. That's what we are choosing to do. We've got so much planned: Disney, Epcott, Universal, Cirque du Soleil Dinner Show, Mystery Dinner Theater, and, of course, beaches! You could always just go straight to your cruise ship, though.
Basically, with your budget, you could go on a 14 day all-inclusive cruise to the Carribean. You could go on an even longer cruise if you choose to spend more of your budget. However, cruises typically are no longer than 14 days, and the only ones I've seen that are longer are European cruises, and they're mostly at sea. Good luck and have a great time!

I would go on a cruise. You can get a nice balcony cabin (the view is worth it) and cruises to the bahamas, caribbean, mexico are pretty cheap. I am going on a royal caribbean cruise and they have some good packages for honeymooners (wine, stateroom decorations, etc.). What I liked about the cruise is, we don't have to worry about 'finding' some place to eat or carrying travelers checks. The only thing that is not included is drinks, but if you set aside about $4 per drink, that should be enough, considering a lot are less than, but there are a few that are more than that. Cruises also offer packages that inculde airfare and such and they will even pick you up at the airport.
Good Luck and have fun!

i need more information...i can set something for you up..but I need to know how long you plan to have your honeymoon..
and whether you are leaving out of Nashville or Memphis...or anywhere else...
ANSWER!!!
Honolulu, HI was the spot that I would pick..it's the beach, its hawaii...there is a TON of stuff to do on the islands and you can research your options online as well...
there are several places worth looking at AND at a weeks worth or even 10 days..you should look at the following hotels as they all came in well under your budget at the 1 week mark..but you can decide how much you want to push the envelope...as far as adding on days
Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki
Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach
Hilton Hawaiian Village
Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa
Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa
Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach
JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa
These are hotels that are in Newport Beach and laguna Niguel in Orange County...you would fly into Orange County and the Ritz Carlton is the nicest but it is quite a ways away from the rest of Orange County...if you rent your car..it may go over your budget...
the Island Hotel at Newport Beach is cheaper and is equally as good as well as being closer to everything orange county has to offer...if you are interested in this option (Orange County) let me know..I lived there for nearly 20 yrs..can give you good ideas..I mean Hawaii is Hawaii..but..if you go this route..I can help you as well with ideas...
..if your honeymoon was anything like mine....we didn't leave the hotel all that often ;) granted...we did still have fun on ours and were in a hotel that sits on the coast of Northern Brasil...so we had an amazing view and a fun time! So it is important to get the best hotel you can...that said..Ritz Carlton would charge you a daily resort fee of 25 dollars a day...so you decide if that is something you are interested in...
I will say...as far as luxuries go...Ritz is AWESOME regardless of where it is.....but you may feel it is overpriced and not very close to the airport....it IS right on the water though, it is NOT noisy except for the waves and you can pretty much guarantee the quality is worth the money as is the view..so you decide.. it was TOO much for a 2wk vacation...but for one week it was just right...i thought to throw you a couple of ideas...

Kauai, it is amazing and sooooo romantic. Airline tickets, are anywhere from $800-$1100 round trip for the both of you. We really liked Hawaiin Airlines, but I heard suntrips has some great deals and practical packages. I also suggest checking out craigslist.com look for Hawaii, then search under Kauai for vacation rentals. They have some awesome properties for rent, some for as little as $100 a night. They are fully furnished and very private. A rental car is the best way to get around the island, we rented one for six days and it was a little under $300. The snorkeling was amazing. Food was awesome, I recommend the Tide Pools restaurant at the Hyatt Regency for a romantic meal over the water/koi pond. Also check out tunnels beach on the north shore, for the best snorkeling. It was amazing. We stayed at Lawaii Beach Resort, it was more than we could have hoped for. Good luck, and have an awesome time. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Sandals resorts are the best for what you are looking for. You can go to Jamaica, the Bahamas, or even St. Lucia. The price includes your plane tickets, your room, all meals and drinks. I think it's an excellent deal. We are going to Ocho Rios in Jamaica in June and we are so excited. Everybody just keeps telling us great things. We mainly picked Sandals though because once we are there we won't have to worry about anything. You don't have to worry about running out of money or anything. And you can even set up a registry through weddingchannel.com so half of it may even get paid for. But you could definitely go there for $4000. Good Luck and Congratulations!

A friend of mine went to a travel agency and found a Jamaica package for $3000. It was a couples resort and it included everything. They had a choice of activities and all of their meals were paid for. Make sure you have your passport already or are getting it very soon. It can take a few months sometimes to get it. Good luck and have fun.

With that budget, you're pretty open.
I'd check with a travel agent hoenstly, that's what we did & we couldn't have been happier. We got 4 nights in an all inclusive resort in Jamaica with a suite for $2400. It was fantastic.

Call or visit a travel agents web site. We went to Cancun on about the same budget. Our travel agent took care of everything for us.
