2 weeks after the date the invitations went out. that gives enough time for everyone to get them and figure out if they can make it but still gives you a few weeks to finalize details and provide an accurate count to your vendors

I'm getting married June 16th too (2008)! congrats :-)
the RSVP is usually for the caterers to know how much food to have etc... i think a week and a half before the wedding date hsoud be good. how about June 5th (or close to that date) remember people will most likely send late rsvp cards so give yourself plenty of time before the wedding. a month is pretty good for people to get off work or make plans etc...
God Bless!

Usually you need to give your final head count to your caterer 1-2 weeks prior to the wedding. So I would say either have then RSVP by 5/28 or 6/1. That way it will give time for any "stragglers" to RSVP before you need to have the exact head count!

Also don't be afraid to make phone calls to people who you haven't heard back from. I did...and I'm glad I did...we had a good handful of people who forgot to send back their RSVP's and were coming!!!

You need to give an RSVP date for at least one-two weeks before the wedding. So at least by June 1st. This is usually done so the caterers or whoever is doing the food has a head count.

Depends on when you need a head count. I did mine about 2 weeks before the wedding.

The question you really need to ask yourself is- how long do you need to call people who don't RSVP? I had less than 50% of my guest RSVP & I spent the week after the due date calling, tracking down people, to find out. So leave yourself room to get a head count in to anyone who needs in & still have time to contact anyone who doesn't RSVP.

Find out from your caterer what date she needs the final number by. Then add on a few days, because you may have to call people who don't rsvp. You are not really giving people a lot of time....

You should have planned MUCH sooner. My sister in law did the same crap with the invitations. We got ours 3 weeks before the wedding. Kids in school, 14 hour drive, hotel expenses, cost of gas, cost of me losing 5 days work....
You're being VERY inconsiderate to have waited this late to get invitations out.
I can't give you an RSVP date because it's INCREDIBLY rude to wait this late to get invitations out.

Ask them to RSVP by 05/28/07. That's probably your best bet..

You really need to ask the caterer. He needs to know how many people to expect so he'll know how much food to prepare.
