I've been engaged for a few months now, enjoying the fact that I had a secret, but I feel it's time to tell everyone. but I'm having trouble coming up with idea's how. I don't want to just blurt it out, I want to have a little fun with it. Any idea's?

I forgot to mention, that I am the female in this situation, and we've been living together for a couple years now. We had a small break, to reflect on us, and discover for ourselves how much we love and care for eachother.
I've debated over this for months now, whether to sneak it in, in the middle of a conversation, so they're not sure they heard me right, or to actually make a formal announcement.
We currently live 3 hours away, and my family is coming for the easter weekend.

All thoughts and comments are welcome.

My cousin made a video. We thought we were just watching a clip of their last vacation and instead he was there in a really nice suit, going ring shopping and talking about a scavenger hunt. Then he went to a gumball machine and put in several quarters but none of those rings were good enough either. On the last quarter, her diamond came out and he said Well mom and dad since I have this ring I thought I'd propose. And then he had some film of how he proposed. At the end was the 2 of them waving saying We're Engaged!

Other than that, you could get them a crossword puzzle or word search that has all sorts of wedding words in it.

Perhaps tell everyone they are coming to celebrate someone's birthday and show up with a cake that says We're Engaged.

Throw it into a story as a side note...like How was your month dear? Oh well work has been hectic. The project I'm working on is coming to a close so we are all stressed with deadlines. John was out of town a couple weeks ago. He had to go to Boston for work. Planning the wedding. The dog has been doing well--loves his long walks though....

They will all be in shock and saying like Whoa wait a sec--what did you say?

I'd do a big gesture though so that they aren't pissed that you didn't tell them for months.

Congratulations!!!! Now, decelerate, earnings from the engagement and take time to imagine about what you extremely choose. Marriage is a wide dedication and getting married should be your #a million precedence. growing to be a member of your existence inclusive of your fiance is more advantageous major than activities and wedding ceremony hoopla. you've a lot of time to do all the celebration planning, yet do no longer ignore that the celebration usually lasts about 6 hours. the marriage will very last for some thing of your existence.

First talk to your Fiance' and ask what she thinks, if she is wondering what and how to tell them, then here are some fun things you can do.

dining out? have a deli sh desert on a plate with writing around the plate in chocolate "were getting married!". and have the waiter/waitress bring enough spoons for everyone to have a spoonful as if you are having a toast.

Dinner at home with family, have scrolls made up and tie them with ribbon, tissue, string... and place them at the table for each person. after the blessing is said before dinner (if you choose) then each individual can read this before they have dinner?
I could go on and on... I love to be creative.

Do an easter egg hunt and hide fake engagement rings in all or one of the eggs!!! It'll be fun to video tape your family hunting for eggs, then when they open them someone can video tape you and your fiance sharing the news!!! Best of luck!
