It really depends on the couple. If the guy is romantic and the girl loves surprises, it would be fine for the guy to plan it and surprise the girl. If the girl is controlling and gets mad if she doesn't get what she wants, then you should definately include her in on the plans. If the groom really doesn't care, then it would be totally fine for the girl to do all the planning.

The groom & the bride. Both should plan for their honeymoon. It depends on the both of you on how to plan your honeymoon & how long it will be. My beau & I got a 6 weeks pre-honeymoon. LOL!

some couples sense that taking a large trip on the instant after their wedding ceremony is purely too stressful, or too costly. some human beings would possibly no longer have the means to get extra wreck day artwork, the two. My boyfriend has asked that we delay a large honeymoon till in a protracted time, and we can take a week/long weekend trip someplace community to unwind and relax suited as quickly as we get married. He has a competent factor ... making plans a marriage, PLUS a large trip, is a lot to be afflicted approximately (and pay for!).

Normally it is something that is chosen together. however, it is not uncommon for a parent or one of the new spouses to surprise at the reception.
The length of time on the honeymoon depends on what the couple can afford and what amount of time the two can take off of work. This is why it is best for the couple to figure this out together!!
Congrats!

I think BOTH should be planning the honeymoon.

It can be as long or short as you want it, but a week is a good length.

Its best they plan it together since its both of them who want to have fun. you have to decide whether you want to go to the alps even if she hates snow (assuming she does) or she wants to go to venice if you have a phobia for water.
So get together and decide on a place you both should go to,

They plan it together. You'll both have to make sure you have time off of work and all you passports are ready to travel.
