Weddings - March 2007

I am 21, I have been with my boyfriend for nearly 4 years and we are planning to get married although we are not officially engaged yet.

I would like to move in with him, however my parents do not approve of cohabitation before marraige. They provide for me financially (although, not because I ask) by paying my health insurance, car insurance, car payments, and cell phone as long as I remain a full time student.

Does anyone have any advice on reasons I should be allowed to live with him? The fact that I love him and plan to marry him doesn't seem to be enough as they think that I am too young to get married as well (although they married at 19)

this is what my best friend fiance said after they broke up because of her being insecure (she is seeing a counsellour)
*that he just wants to be friends, doesnt want to see her but still wants to remain friends but by talking on the phone. he let her keep the ring but said dont put it on just keep it in the box to look at and hope for the future that maybe we'll get back together. he also said i love you but am not 'in' love with you. thats he needs a clean slate and would be happy if she moved on. but laast night she asked him she would only be friends if there was hope for them and his answer is theres always hope. is he plying with her feelings and trying to make her feel better? she seems to think there is hope but he wants to find himself again, wants her to get help which she is doing, but my main concern can you fall back in love with someone after being hurt so many times in the past? how long could that take? why break off if you think you can work things out?

Is this dress suitable for an afternoon outdoors May wedding? It's white on the bottom and the top is stripped, so I'm not sure if its appropriate.

I'm pretty sure I want to use different shades of green, cream and pink in the flowers which are just going to be different wildflowers in mason jars, but I'm having a really hard time narrowing down a specific color scheme. I just don't know what color to have my flowergirl wear, or what color shoes the bridesmaids should have. I thought it would be easy! My dress is ivory, and the ceremony is outdoors. Please help! :)

my wedding reception will be held at a chinese restaurant and that place is completely red! The chairs, linen table cloths, and even the walls are red. I do not know what colors to use to tone down the place. I do not want it to look so asianize (if that is even a word). I like it to look more elegant. Me and my boyfriend have known each other since we were kids like 9 years old 5 years ago we just fell in love i had the most perfect love life he loved me to death he would do anything for me if i was hurt he couldn't sleep all night n pray for me when i had pain he wished somehow the pain would transfer to him he could never even see a single tear in my eye but from past 1 yr everythin has changed before it was all fine but past 5-6 months everything is fallin off he has gotten extremely religious to a point that he listens to no one he doesn't even technically follow the true holy book and religion he just follows what islam has interpreted to be he wanted me to be that way too i did everythin for him i even wore scarf for him risking my life i did all i knew something was wrong i confirmed from five religious scholars that he was under "jaadu" I dunno what to do!PLEASE PRAY FOR US I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT HIM N HE'S TRAPPED THIS IS DONE TO SEPERATE US SO PLEASE PRAY I LOVE HIM!!!!

I'm getting married this summer and my family all understand that the wedding is Semi Formal and will all show up dressed nicely. Thing is my fiance's family is more laid back country and I'm afraid they'll come dressed in flannal, jeans and boots. I'm not over exaggerating either, I went to his cousins wedding not to long ago and people showed up looking like they just got out of working on the farm.

Is there a way to add a note or something to tell them that kind of attire is not allowed w/o sounding like a bridezilla? If so how do i word it?

My fiancee and I just got engaged and I'm excited about planning the wedding. I have decided on a small intimate wedding with a guest list of maybe forty people. My fiancee thinks that we shouldn't even plan a wedding, that it's a waste of money feeding people (family/friends) party favors etc., when we can use the money for our honeymoon. i have dirty blonde hair (darker in winter, lighter in summer, with natural highlights) and light skin. not very white skin, but i can tell you that the foundation colour i use is called ivory, so i'm pretty fair skinned. i know that wearing pure white can make people look washed out, but i'm no good at knowing whihc shade looks good on certain people.....maybe i should have paid more attention to what my friends in cosmetology were saying...

Well, we broke up 6 months ago , cause we had major issues, and it was over...
our relationship was 6 months long, and in that - we said we loved eachother however she acted differently - tough she said she loved me - We broke up in between - she had this one man (in her mind) and 1st when we broke up - 2 weeks laer - she dated the guy i hate for about 1 week...
After the break up-
3 months ago, dec when i was in NYC to meet her, she point blank also said - No, i dont want to meet you...

My bf was forcefully engaged, please help.

My bf and I have been in love, and he had told this to his parents.
However, they were against this relationship.

Now when he went back to India, his parents told him that they had already chosen a girl for him and IT HAD BEEN ANNOUNCED to the relatives.
Worse, the engagement ceremony was scheduled for the next day!

My bf kept on calling me and told me everything that was going on, and I talked to his father also.
But what he told us was just that it had been announced, and there was no way to get back....

Anuj called me even just before going to the engagement, saying that we would be together...

Now, he is engaged, and it seems really difficult to break it as the matter is getting more and more open and known to more people.

What can we do? How can we break the engagement? (Anuj is afraid of any damage, physical assault to his family in case he breaks the engagement).

Please help us out urgently.
