I loved the shoes I got for my wedding...they killed my feet! Thankfully I knew that I would not wear them all night, and had a pair of fun flats with sequins on them for the rest of the night. I only wore the heels for the ceremony and the first batch of pictures, the wore my flats for dancing. Better than running barefoot, and it worked out perfect, both pairs of shoes were fun, and now I have 2 pair of new shoes (the second pair I got off ebay for $10)! I did try to wear my heels around before the wedding as people suggested, but to no avail, I would have had to wear them for month before hand, and then they would have looked worn...not the best idea, I think. To make a long story short, use this as an excuse to buy a second pair
PS, my experience with stretching out shoes....they stretch them too much and then I never wear them again because they are now too big...my 2 cents.

Hi. If you're not completley attached to those shoes I would recommend getting new ones. You don't want to be uncomfortable ALL day on your wedding day. I would suggest you visit shoebuy.com. It is an amazing website that has tons of shoes in many different styles/brands/sizes. They also have free shipping and free return shipping so if they are uncomfortable when you get them, you can just send them back and not be out any money.
Many people also write ratings about the shoes and it really helped me when I was picking shoes for my wedding. (I bought 2 pairs that I liked then sent one back...I had a recovering broken foot so I was looking for something very flat, but still cute so it was a interesting challenge)
Good luck and have fun at your wedding!

Most likely they would be able to help you. How attached to these shoes are you though? Have you considered maybe a pair of flats, you will be on your feet all day and hardly sit for a really long time. Even if you dont want to wear them for the wedding ceremony have a pair or flats, ballet slippers, flip flops or slippers to change into if you need them. Even if you never use them at least you will have the option just in case.
Good luck!

Throw those shoes away. Please go for comfortable shoes for your wedding. You don't want to be standing around barefoot later when your feet are killing you. Also, if your feet hurt, the pain will show on your face in all the pictures. Trust me. No one will notice your shoes anyway. I have a cousin that wore some tennis shoes under her wedding dress and no one knew until she lifted up her dress to show everyone during the dance. People remember the beautiful bride, not her shoes. See if you can remember any bride's shoes. NO.

Try walking in them 5-10 minutes a day until the wedding. Since you have until October that should give you time to stretch them out. Most brides only wear their "pretty" shoes for the ceremony and then change into tennis shoes or slippers for the reception. So if you can hold out wearing them through the ceremony you have it made.
Check out these cute little tennie's you could have made for your reception. http://www.savvysneaks.com/savvysneaks.html
Good luck!

I used to work in a shoe store and we would stretch shoes all the time. Usually 30 min. did the trick but sometimes people left their shoes over night. You can also buy shoe stretchers if you need, just be careful not to over stretch them. If by chance you do overstretch them you can always buy inserts though.
I would get them stretched a little and them wear them around your house to get them formed to your feet! Good luck and CONGRATS!

I am getting married on the 31st of this month and what I have done is wear socks with my shoes for a little bit everyday to stretch them out just enough now they are pretty comfy.

You can try, but you might also consider just returning those shoes and getting different ones that fit better.
If you have a floor-length gown, no one can see your feet!
My cousin's bride was tall and also had problems with heels, so she and her sisters decorated white tennis shoes with sequins and lace. They looked gorgeous and added a bit of fun and uniqueness to an otherwise very traditional wedding.
Fancy flats or sandals can also be dressed up with a bit of embellishments, and they are much more comfortable!
You want to be comfy, cause it is going to be a long day full of lots of pictures to smile for! Enjoy your big day, don't suffer through it just for vanity's sake.

I wouldn't worry about it you will be so excited with what is going on you wont notice they are hurting until the very end of the night and that would be a good excuse for your new husband to carry you the whole way to your room. Congrats, enjoy every minute up to the big day and of course enjoy every minute of the day.

Yes shoe stores can stretch shoes. However if they are leather you can soak them in warm water till they are good and wet and then wear them till they are dry. They'll form to the shape of your foot and be comfortable.
My friends husband is a shoe repair man and this is what he told me to do.It works.
