I got ahold of a bunch of old wedding programs (my mom and my brother both manage to go to tons) and poured over them until I found one that I liked and wanted to base mine on. We also took some advice from the pastor and his daughter, who happened to be our church appointed "wedding planner."

Hi Sara
As far as weddings go it is your day so do what you want not what everyone else wants.
As far as the reception goes we did the following and everyone enjoyed the night so it might help you.
All the guests are setted before the bridal party enter
Bridal party enter
Speeches Brides Father (or other choosen person)
Groom
Bestman
Bestwoman (Matron of Honour) this isn't the norm but we wanted things a little different.
Dinner is served
Bride and Groom cut the wedding cake
Dances Bride and Groom first dance, followed up by the bridal party half way through song
Bride dances her father, groom with his mother
Then everyone dances
Wedding cake is served, maybe with tea and coffee
You may wish now to throw your flowers, and your new husband throw your garter (but we chose not to do this as we only had a few single friends and we thought it was not to our liking.
Well I hope this helps you a little, just always remember enjoy your day and have fun.

Looks like the reception is pretty well taken care of. Here's how the actual wedding ceremony usually goes

Convocation
Invocation
Prayer
Special music or reading
Charge to the couple
Question of Intent ( the do you take part)
Address
Vows
Ring Blessing
Ring exchange & vow
Special music or reading
Unity ceremony (like the unity candle) Some pastors won't allow this
Benediction
Closing prayer
Pronouncement
Kiss
Introduction

It really depends on your taste. i had my introduction of bride & groom, blessing of the meal, first dance, toasts, dances with parents and the opened the dance floor. i did this early in the evening so that people could then enjoy dancing. these things were done while the first courses were served.
