I have heard many stories on this. Is it on your first wedding anniversary? Or after the birth of your first child? When should you get an eternity ring? and what finger should you wear it on? with your engagment and wedding ring?

As I understand it, the official De Beers position is that this is a tenth anniversary gift. Others say De Beers originally positioned it for the first anniversary.

Many eternity bands are designed specifically to stack with wedding sets.

But we don't have to run around doing everything that De Beers tells us to do.

I bought one for my wife for the first mother's day after our first child was born. She likes to wear it because it sticks out less than her engagement ring (a practical consideration with children), and often stacks it with one or two heirloom wedding bands (with two it's in the middle). I bought it in platinum to match the existing rings.

25th anniversary - but these day, I'm sure that can be knocked down to the 10th. Depending on what he chooses to give you, it could be worn with your wedding and engagement rings, just with your wedding band, or on the other hand.

My b/f gave me one when he proposed... Most ppl give them when they get married to stack with thier (traditionally) solitaire. Oprah wears one on her pinky, some people wear them on the index ect... I think they look good anywhere they're beautiful, and for any occasion.
