My Fience and i are both firefighters and we think that it would be very cool to ride away in on the back of a fire truck. and we think we are going to have our ushers be the members of our fire department. right now we are on different fire departments because we live in different towns. this is realy all we have thought of. we would like your imput on this stuff

That's an awesome idea!!! Maybe outside the church you could create a pathway using little sirens. That would be so cute!!! Good luck!

The grooms cake could be in the shape of a firefighters' helmet or a fire hydrant!
The party favors could be those little cinnamon "Red Hots".
The centerpieces for the tables could be firefighter helmets(plastic versions from the party store)with flowers in them.
When the groom goes to remove your garter at the reception and the room permits(space wise), you could be at a higher level and he has to climb a ladder, carry you fireman style over the shoulder down the ladder to sit you on a chair and then remove the garter.

Ahh! I love the Red Hots idea above, good thinking!
You could probably do a lot with this theme and everyone would love it because who doesnt love firefighters, they are the all around "good guy".
My only advice would be not to go too overboard with the theme. There is a fine line that if you cross it, it becomes characature like and looses the "classy" look.

have the local fire dog be the ring bearer. If kids are invited purchase books about firefighting to give to them as gifts.
when introducing yall at the reception have sirens go off

I think that would be absolutely awesome, my fiance and I had wanted to ride away from our wedding on a wagon ride with our wedding party to my grandpas house a mile away from the church then get in our cars and drive the rest of the way to the reception, my grandpa passed away back in December so now we can't do it but I think your idea is great.

Very cool idea; I don't know much about firefighters, but you can certainly have fun with it by having firefighter-themed cake and this kind of stuff.

That would be totally awesome! Maybe you could get special permission to use the siren and noisy honking thing as you pull away after the ceremony.
You could have such fun with this theme - with decorations, favours, dalmations everywhere.... coool.

It sounds like a wonderful idea but, maybe you will get caught up in the "Which station will we get our truck from" Or who's team has the most responsibility in the place. Try not to look into things like that or, it will go sour :)

You could have your engagement photos taken on a fire truck too! I knew someone that did black and white pictures with and old fire engine they turned out really pretty!
