I'm the groom at an upcoming wedding. My future mother in law confronted me recently and told me, "I am paying the photographer $1,000 now and you and my daughter will pay the remaining $1,500 after the wedding with money you receive as gifts from guests."

I am not 100% sure who pays for what with weddings but I thought the brides parents pay for stuff like that. I did not object because I don't know who pays for what.

Who should pay for the photographer? The brides family? The married couple? The grooms family? Anyone know?

We lost my mom in Jan. his mom in Sept. and my grandmom in Oct. last year. we want to have a ceremony that will allow us to light a candle in memorium at a chapel that won't rush us out in 15 minutes or break the bank since it's just us and another couple as witnesses

You have the big ceremony, cake, flowers, lots of money. You cant wait to dance with your husband and the band shows up but never sets up their instruments. Finally it gets time to dance and they say they thought since it was moved from outside into a church it wouldnt be appropriate. You never get a chance to dance at your wedding. What do you do to make up for it so you never have the stigma over your head?

Rice, sparklers, and birdseed aren't allowed by my venue. I thought about bubbles, but those are a bit overused. Butterflies and doves are expensive. Balloons and rose petals are okay, but I'm looking for something that is a bit more unique.

I would like low centerpieces for my wedding. I believe we are having round tables with white linens with alternating yellow & teal table runners/napkins. The only ideas I have so far are floating flowers/candle. I dont want anything over 6 inches or so.

We were going to make "pimp" cups for everyone with their name on them but we can't find any big enough.

Do you have any other ideas of great groomsman gifts?

Right now the main color that I wanted to use was Burgundy. But we can't think of another color. Or are there some other colors that might be good. Even if burgundy isn't one of them. I suggested light blue and a aqua.... But he said that would be too much blue. So I don't know what colors to do now... Thank you all for you help.

I recently was notified by this mysterious answer team to tell me that one of my answers to a question was deleted.I did not use foul language.I answered a question with humor as I believe that we seriously cannot believe all this crap we are reading.Lighten up folks! The question posed was advice in finding a honeymoon spot in the Poconos, and I advised the wonderful couple to get a nice place near the Poconos because there is a justice of the peace that would be ready and willing to divorce them when the spouse finds out that her husband is not the great lover he bragged about:)

I have having a beach wedding and I need some good ideas and lots of them. It is going to be Oregon and in July. I am just trying to come up with the ideas now. So that I can search around and not spend a arm and a leg. Because my sister got married in Kent Washington and they got married with in 1 1/2 of their engagement. So we had about a month to get everything together. And I don't want to have that stress on me or on the others that are helping me. I want a beautiful elegant beach wedding. Not a Hawaiian beach wedding or a cheesy one either. So if you guys could help me out that would be great.

I'm planning on having an outdoor reception at a park and on the picnic tables in the pavilion, I'm going to have white table cloths with rose petals and candles. The question is, do you think frosted votives with white non smelling candles or white Yankee candle tealights would be best?

Thanks!!

We announced our engagement in the summer. My sister got engaged in the fall. We are supposed to get married this summer. My sister originally planned on getting married in the fall. Now she wants to move her wedding to the spring.

I know it is selfish but I am very upset. I announced first. I don't want her to get all the attention. This was supposed to be my fiancee and I's time.

How should I handle this situation?

so... my grandma lived with us and I have a whole bunch of things for my wedding stored in the hutch and when grandma moved out I came to the realization that my still wraped cake cutter and serving stuff is gone... so... what should I do that would not make my grandmother feel attacked (when she moved out she calimed that it was because I was unwelcoming, but my parents and all of my other relatives have told me that the reason that she gave was just an excuse and they have seen me interact and I have been sweet...) so what should I do?

I am planning a wedding in May for around 300 people (hopefully less if I can get the guest list down). I have friends that will do the catering and alcohol (so will save there)...but was wondering if after the cost of set up/venue hire etc. it will work out cheaper.

Or..am I better of just going for a Wedding Package. Most 4-5 star hotels will do it for $80 - $100 all inclusive for a three-course menu and 5 hour drinks package.

Is it worth the hassle or does it end up working out the same (price wise)?

I really want to keep the cost down otherwise we are going to end up as broke newlyweds!!

Please Help!
