The candle poem and basket filled with the coordinating candles. This is a great gift and pretty sentimental for a friend.

A basket of candles that come in a pair
In all different colors, for you two to share
The white ones burn first
They are wrapped in white lace
To celebrate your first married night
In your new chosen place.
The green pair is taller, and also much thinner
Burn with the first company you have over for dinner
The dark blue candles are for after your first fight
Use them to burn while making up all night
Pink candles set the mood and pave the way
For your first married Valentine's Day
Now, when your first year of marriage is through
the cream anniversary pair will light for you two.
Red candles aflame, both your futures are bright
Celebrate promotions you've worked toward with all of your might.
By this time we hope, maybe, just maybe
You can light the purple ones, on the birth of your baby.
And just when you thought you'd put these away
Take the light blue ones out for your fifth anniversary day.
Now just one more pair left for the big 25
The anniversary pair that will keep your love alive.
Congratulations bride and groom (enter names)
On the start of your forever
May the two of you always be happy together
And burn these candles
Just the way we said
But please don't forget - blow them out before bed!!

Most people I know want money when they get married. But, that's not very personal. You could put together a photo album or scrapbook of all the good times you've had over the years. you could give her a small figurine or pendant of ruby slippers....to remind her that "there's no place like home". At all of my friends wedding, i took pictures during the ceremony and had them developed before the reception at the 1 hour place (now with digital, it's even quicker). Then i put the photos in a small album and placed it at the head table for the bride to see at her reception.

Go to her registry. Get something off that. If she doesn't have a regisrty, I'd get her a gift card to somplace like Pottery Barn or Bed Bath & Beyond. Since she's moving, she'd probably appreciate buying things for her new house once she's moved.

Give her something that will make her think of all the fun time you all had together. Think of a trip you all took, a place where the boys were all over you, a play that you all went to see etc., and buy her something that is connected so when she picks it up to look at it, she will be reminded of your friendship.

I recently remarried and there are alot of photos. You make alot of memories together in photos. I would suggest a nice, large, photo album to store all the beautiful photo memories.

best friends are CHOOO special. i wud suggest is dont go for any materialistic thing. if u realy want to make her special then arrange a handy cam...meet her friends n family members personnaly n tel them to express their luv. record everything n make a cd of it.
another option is too make a very big greeting card n stick all ur pictures, ur frnds, her family etc.
