My girlfriend will be in her sister-in laws wedding. Needless to say she will be attending the bachlerette party. There may or may not be a stripper there. Am I wrong for feeling uncomfortable at the thought of her being in the same room as a male stripper even if its as harmless as a bachlerette party?

First, I'm divorced and have been for 12 years. My daughter announced she was getting married and I paid 100% of everything including a Mexican honey-moon. In all it was around 14K. Her mother and I don't get along to say the least, she was remarried 3 days after our divorce. I predicted she would not chip in or help pay for anything and I was right. However she loves to controll things. I antisipated this and was concerned she would want to have a say so I instructed the reception people to only speak to me about any changes or complaints...sure enough my ex threw a fit about the reception bla, bla, bla...and they told her to speak to the one who PAID for everything, she came up to me and I told her to write down all of her complaints and they would be reviewed at our next planning meeeting..ha, ha .was I wrong?

i have been with tom for 4yrs and we are to marry next summer.he has been divorced for 5yrs with a 7yr old child.the problem is his exwife she treats me like a doormat(tells me what i can and can't do with thier child, talks badly about me to our freinds+family ect)and all my bf does is makes excusses why he will not stand up for me(can't control what she says, don't want to make waves for his son ect)becuase he has joint custody of his son i have to deal with her all the time.now to makes matters worse after all she does to me hes nice to her(listens to her health problems, changes his childs visatation schedule around to help her out, basicly does what ever she whats)why when he knows how upset i get does he do this?why can't he stand up to her?hes the one who left her because she was so controlling to me it seems she still is

I am doing a candy buffet for my wedding. I was wondering if anyone had any neat ideas on how I should set it up, what kind of candy I should get, some good "sayings" I could have posted at the table, or any pictures that I could look at it from what other people are doing?

I found this "Blessing of the Hands" as an alternative idea for the unity candle and I love it! I've tweaked it some, but I want input from others. I need to include the children in the holding of hands, perhaps towards the end of it, or even through the whole thing:
_______, please turn and face____, and hold his hands palms up, where you can see the gift that they are to you.

These are the hands, young and strong and vibrant with love, that hold yours on your wedding day, as he promises to love you all the days of his life.

These are the hands that will work long hours to earn money for you and your family.

These are the hands that will be nicked and bruised from fixing things around the house to make you more comfortable.

These are the hands that will caress your body through the years, to make the passion of love come alive.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy.

1. Blue, Pink, purple hydrangeas with a butter yellow bridesmaid dress, so pretty! http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y41/your_ellen/greenandblue/?action=view¤t=hydrangea.jpg
2. Clover green bridesmaid dress with hot pink hydrangeas
3. Butter yellow with just hot pink flowers.

My best friend is getting married next month and the thought of giving her cash doesn't really interest me. I would like to give her something more personal...I already got her champagne glasses (personally etched with ribbons and flowers to sit at her sweetheart table during the reception) but now I need something for the actual big day...

have not seen or spoken to my daughter in three and a half years and she shows up one day and says she is getting married and asks if I would help pay for the wedding, meantime she hasn't seen anyone else from my side of the family also in the past 3 and a half years,so her grandmother writes her a e-mail after finally getting her address after all these years telling her that its not rite of her to just show up one day and expect me to pay for a wedding, well that didn't set well with the ex-wife and now all hell is broken out ,so my daughters hubby to be e-mails me and says that I and my mother are not invited to the wedding saying that it will cause to much stress but everyone else in the family is invited and I'm not the one that wrote or spoke up about all this and Im the one thats getting the shaft by not being invited to my own daughters wedding
