mine was

me and you - Kenny Chesney

a wonderful song, here are the lyrics

Ordinary no, really don't think so
Not a love this true
Common destiny
We were meant to be
Me and you

Like a perfect scene from a movie screen
We're a dream come true
Suited perfectly for eternity
Me and you

Every day, I need you even more
And the night time too
There's no way
I could ever let you go
Even if I wanted to

Every day I live
Try my best to give
All I have to you
Thank the stars above
That we share this love Me and you

Every day, I need you even more
And the night time too
There's no way
I could ever let you go
Even if I wanted to

Ordinary no, I really don't think so
Just a precious few
Ever make it last
Get as lucky as
Me and you
Me and you

For our first dance this past September, my bride and I chose "At Last" by Etta James. It's a beautiful, heartfelt song, full of elation. It's also quite old... from the 60's. Etta has a beautiful, soulful voice, and this song just emanates pure joy right from the very first words, that the right person has finally come along and her long wait is over. It's not a country song unfortunately, but it's just beautiful and had half the people at our wedding in tears. It's also just under 3 minutes long, which I think is wise. A 5 minute or longer song will feel like 15 minutes and lose it's steam as your guests get restless.

I highly suggest you give the lyrics to this song a listen, in particular if you feel like you waited a lifetime to finally meet your Mr. Right.

Just like playing movies for public viewing outside of a theater, there are legal issues in playing music. As long as the music, or the musical sheets for reading & playing the music are legally obtained and/or purchased, there is no copyright violation. The exception to this is if the music is being played at a certain type of venue (i.e. a club, DJ or at a county fair) licensing fees are paid to the copyright holder/ artist. The one exception to this is if the copyright holder has been deceased for a minimum of 70 years from the date of intended use. After this, the piece is considered "public" and there are no copyright issues even when it is played in a public setting. So older "secular" pieces such as "Bittersweet Symphony" would have no copyright issues, others like The Rolling Stones who still have Mick Jagger around may need to have a fee paid. I'd contact the Interscope Records corporate office to see what, if any issues you'd be dealing with. They are the current Rolling Stones music label and would know all you need to know about it.

George Strait...

The Man In Love With You...

....

Depechmode

Somebody

is really good too but it isn't country... but check out the lyrics... could there be a better song to dance to at a wedding

I want somebody to share
Share the rest of my life
Share my innermost thoughts
Know my intimate details
Someone wholl stand by my side
And give me support
And in return
Shell get my support
She will listen to me
When I want to speak
About the world we live in
And life in general
Though my views may be wrong
They may even be perverted
Shell hear me out
And wont easily be converted
To my way of thinking
In fact shell often disagree
But at the end of it all
She will understand me

Aaaahhhhh....

I want somebody who cares
For me passionately
With every thought and
With every breath
Someone wholl help me see things
In a different light
All the things I detest
I will almost like
I dont want to be tied
To anyones strings
Im carefully trying to steer clear of
Those things
But when Im asleep
I want somebody
Who will put their arms around me
And kiss me tenderly
Though things like this
Make me sick
In a case like this
Ill get away with it
Aaaahhhhh....

I am a huge Toby Keith fan. My favorites are:
"Huckleberry"
"Rock You Baby"
"Stay Over Tonight"

I also think that Keith Urban has some great songs about love.
I like:
"Your Everything,"
"Making Memories of Us,"
"Once in a Lifetime"

My husband and I used Rascal Flatts "Bless the Broken Road." It was the song that was playing at my friend's reception when he couldn't come and I realized that I missed him and I was in love. That's why it was "our song." You might look up the lyrics and see if any of them connect.

Good Luck!
