Just straight and simple, what do you think? Will it offend any fun-suckers?

Absolutely!!! As soon as you get in the limo the driver will pop open the champagne for you. No one is going to b*itch or moan, it is your wedding day. Fun-sucker is one of my favorite sayings. lol

Well, let me tell you a little story. I was a big partier when I got married, and I drank before the wedding, in the limo, on the way to the reception, at the reception and all night long.

The result: I don't remember the wedding, the wedding night, and my first official act as a new bride was to puke. I regret it to this day.

If that's the kind of wedding experience you want, go for it--who cares what anyone else thinks? It's your wedding.

Otherwise, keep the drinking to a minimum.

Are you in the wedding or are you just a guest? I don't think it would hurt to have one drink.I don't think it would be a good idea to have more than that before the wedding.I would want to remember at least the ceremony part. Also, it probably will offend the "fun-suckers," if they see that you are wasted when you show up. Then again, they might feel that way after the reception anyway.

No not before the wedding, at the church I was married in if anybody in the wedding party was drinking before the ceremony they were not allowed to participate including myself. I would also lose my deposit. The day goes by so fast just make sure you take your time and remember to stop and look at everything going on around you. There is plenty of time to party after the ceremony.

is this for your wedding? It is ok...you want to celebrate your marriage by having a champagne toast. We had champange and beer in our limo for my husband and I and our entire wedding party and had the limo driver drive around before the reception. We had a good time relaxing and celebrating our marriage before the reception. For my best friends wedding...we ran out of alchol and had to stop at a drive thru for more before the 20 min drive to the reception. If you want to have fun...then do it...its your wedding not anybody elses!!

Some brides take a shot while getting ready for the ceremony and lots of guys drink a few beers. I see nothign wrong as long as you dont fall flat on your face or stumble through the wedding. That or get sick.

One beer or a shot is fine to calm the nerves...

(who cares what everyone else thinks- if you want to do it then go for it!)

well I wouldn't suggest getting sloshed but many have a drink or two beforehand to help keep them calm, it iS stressful after all. No matter what you do, something is going to offend someone.

To drink a little to calm nerves - sure, why not.

To be drunk - no, nothing looks more foolish that a tipsy bride/groom.
