It depends a lot on how much you plan to spend. Have you prepared a budget for the wedding? How much have you put aside for favors for the reception? Have you taken into account how many favors you will need to purchase? I'd suggest you get all those answers in place and then do a web search for wedding reception favors.

Something that's consumable. I've been to dozens, even hundreds of weddings over the years, and the best favors are by far the ones I've been able to eat. Because I don't really have room in my already cluttered house for a votive candle with the couple's name and date engraved on it, if I want a mix CD I'll mix my own--my music tastes probably aren't the same as theirs, I don't need a picture frame with the couple beaming at me. All that stuff, I generally will throw in the trash, and feel slightly guilty doing so, because I know the bride probably stressed this decision like every other decision, plus they spent hard earned money on this little favor. However, I don't feel guilty enough to allow it to clutter up my already cluttered home.

You can get M&M's in your wedding colors, you can even have them personalized...here's a link...http://www.mymms.com/customprint/index.asp?sc_cid=DR_SNO_M3SI0600DSC11040

You can also do wrappers for Hershey's bars on your computer, or special order them, with wedding info on them. http://www.candywrapperstore.com/

I am doing a candy buffet for my wedding. A am doing a lot of bulk candies, some in my wedding colors that are silver and pink like hershy kisses, colored m&ms's, things like that. I have tons of little bags in the colors too and I am setting it all up on a nice table with some flower arrangements. I got some of those silver scoops too and I put some ribbon on them to make it look nicer. I'm sure its going to be a hit too cuz everyone loves candy!

Leaf shaped cookies with names and dates, centerpieces for tables could have leaf-shaped marzipan (almond-paste) hanging from small "trees" if late fall, snowflake almond cookies.
