I found this "Blessing of the Hands" as an alternative idea for the unity candle and I love it! I've tweaked it some, but I want input from others. I need to include the children in the holding of hands, perhaps towards the end of it, or even through the whole thing:

This is really long. Why not do a sand ceremony instead of a unity candle?
With this, there is an empty glass container where the unity candle would be. Around it are smaller containers filled with different colored sands, one for each of you. When you would normally light the candle, you all go up and grab your containers. Pouring them all in together symbolizes the blending of your families. And you'll have a nice keepsake for your home.

probable no longer as impolite as particularly some the others, even yet it extremely upset the bride and that i could be very offended if somebody does this at my wedding ceremony. The ceremony became close family members purely, so many of the travelers have been merely invited to the reception. the marriage became organised at very short notice, so no longer precisely what the couple needed, yet they did a superb job. besides, a guy that we artwork with became up section way in direction of the reception in a t-blouse and ripped denims. He appeared like he'd merely rolled away from mattress. He helped himself to three nutrition and a pair of loose beverages and then left. The bride became extremely upset and offended by using it, that's why it bothers me lots.

I think if you all got into a circle in the middle of aisle in one or maybe have 2 circles that interlock like wedding bands then everyone could turn around in the end or turn and hold hands and raise them up too.

I think it would be cool if the adults had a hand of each child in their hands...those words are so good and meaninful and you can really make any child feel special with that. congrats...

The vows are nice, but there is no way to include children in them. You will have to explain to them what PASSION is!!!
