Weddings - February 2007

I'm getting married this october and there was a slight change in the budget so now I need to find a bakery that sells pretty cheap wedding cakes but is still tastey. If anyone can help me out please do. thank you sooo much!!

My fiance just got a new job and he is super stressed. When he is stressed he is very hard to deal with. He makes my life completely miserable. How do I get through these hard times with him? He was great before he started this job....I just hate feeling this way, especially 2 months before our wedding.

me and my boyfriend have been together for two yrs now...
and i dont want a ring and he wants to get engaged so we decided to get some sort of engagement tattoos... we were goin to do it before i left for the navy but i cant until after basic... so i guess i have a few extra months to think about it but what should we get to let everyone know ... but at the same time... i want to avoid names.. lol

The RSVP's are due for the wedding. My fiance's aunt as passed word along that they did RSVP Saturday, we should get it anyday.

Problem is...she added an extra person.

We invited her & her husband. They have no kids. This woman isn't known in her family for having much in the manners department.. She has randomly invited her sister to tag along with her & her husband, a sister my fiance & I have never even met. She even commented that she asked her sister to come along because "everyone likes free food & cake."

Of course it's not free to us. That's an extra table sitting which may end up making us add another table & centerpiece plus chair cover rentals & another $35 meal. All for an uninvited, unknown guest.

Is it ok to call this aunt once we get the RSVP in & tell her she can't bring her sister? We only planned for so many people. My fiance doesn't mind, he also says his mom wont. Just not sure how to go about it since I'm sure she'll have a tantrum.

I am a 25 year hindu guy who loves a beautiful 21 year muslim girl.and she loves me too.we are madly in love and i cant imagine life without her.the only thing coming between us is whether her parents would accept me or not as i am a hindu.I am ready to go to any extremes for that because i love her so much .Her constant fear of this problem has really shattered me but i would not give up , so i am asking u guys ,please suggest me something to handle this situation. i cant see her getting hurt.I know its her parents and i respect that for which i am going to beg them for their approval.I only have a mother and a younger brother, who both love me and support my decision about her.But she (my love) has started to feel shivers of the situation and i cant bear that,so please ,please suggest and hope for us........ I am getting married in January and I am trying to find centerpiece ideas that incorporate snowflakes. I definatly want something with candles, but not something large and over baring. My fiance and i are planning to get married in another country like greece or spain, (we are in california). Some of our family will be able to afford to go while others can't; should that really be taken into consideration when we make our final arragements? i have been with jim for 5 yrs and he has been divorced for 6yrs.jim has joint custody with his ex of his 8 yr old "jen".jen loves me and i love her too.the problem is her mom hates me and treats me like a criminal/outsider.for example one time there was a issue at daycare and jim wanted to put his ex on speaker phone so i could hear and she was like NO WAY. i am not to have any contact with her school,doctor,freinds ect.not only does jim allow this to go on but his does not see this as a real problem even thru he knows this bothers me alot.his mom told me(and she agrees with me)he just does not like to fight thats why he will not say anything to her,but we fight over this all the time.he would rather fight with me than her?he told me the reason is his child,he does not want to make it difficult for her.

Why do some women feel it is necessary to coherse their boyfriends into proposing to them? I have never understood this...as a woman myself, I don't want to trick, or hussle my boyfriend into a marriage that he does not want. I really don't want to be married to a man who is #1 - not ready to be married, and #2 - not wanting to marry me.

I have never understood why some women are so infatuated with getting married right away, rather than finding the one true love that exists somewhere, but yet they have to wait for that person to come into their lives.

Does this sort of thing actually happen or is it just a figure of speech? I have heard of relationships where something that has happened at a bachelor or batchelorette party that has called off a wedding, anyone else heard any stories like this?

I think its really wrong and no matter what its still cheating.

I am getting married in May and I recently received a copy of my receipt from the bridal store where I bought my dress. The boutique had a "comments" section on it, that I don't think was supposed to print out.

The comment listed was "bride needs to lose weight" Now thats just plain tacky. I'm a whopping size 10 - just for reference. I didn't take it too personally.

Anyone have any stories about bad wedding vendors that will make me feel better?
