me and my boyfriend have been together for two yrs now...
and i dont want a ring and he wants to get engaged so we decided to get some sort of engagement tattoos... we were goin to do it before i left for the navy but i cant until after basic... so i guess i have a few extra months to think about it but what should we get to let everyone know ... but at the same time... i want to avoid names.. lol

I like the idea of a ring tattooed on your ring finger. Or find something that is meaningful to you both. Just think long and hard about it because tattoo removal REALLY hurts!

But even if you avoid names, you'll still have a permanent marking of each other in the event that you do not work out. I suggest something tangible...like a RING. Congrats though!

find something that means something to you both like some thing you say to each other you don't say to any one else. or maybe a nickname you can pass of as an old pet of relative if it don't work out.Or maybe a symbol like look up symbols for marriage.hope this gives you ideas?

DON'T DO IT!! Even if you avoid names, and something happens between you, that you don't stay together, you will always have a reminder of him...FOREVER. I mean, don't get me wrong, I hope you will be together forever, but...stuff happens....Look at ol' Brittney Spears...doesn't she have tattoo's of dice that were her's and "Fedex"? I bet she wishes she didn't have those now......just something to think about!

Since they will be on your body and they are permanent, you have to be the one to decide what you get. You can't have someone else pick out the design for you.

do either of you draw? if so, you can draw them for each other, something that symgolizes how you feel or how you see the other person. or the date you plan to get married in roman numerals.

hell no, i been with my man seven years and aint getting no name or any thhing like dat on me. you dont know what life is gonna bring, so two years is not really a long enough time to really know some one. Plus most men change after dat mark (two years) so get to know if dat is wat you really want before getting any tats
