My fiance and I are getting married July 19, 2008. We wanted our colors to either be white and red or white and blue. We decided on white and red. Recently I thought it would be fun to add blue in, as an accent color. My fiance likes it, but other people have said they think red, white and blue are weird colors for a wedding... but hello! We're getting married in JULY! But anyway, I also thought about switching to blue and white because my fiance and I both have blue as a favorite color. Then maybe have red as an accent color... just want an opinion on this... what do you guys think would look best: red and white with blue as accent, blue and white with red as accent, or red white and blue all as main colors... what do you think would make a better wedding?

I'm engaged and I'll be graduating school this May, and my b/f and I want to get married sometime relatively soon. I really want to get married on May 11th, b/c that's when we started dating. But May 11, 2007 is too soon, because I will just be graduating, so I'll have no time to plan. May 11, 2008 falls on a Sunday, though, and I don't want to wait much longer than that. Most people I know get married on Saturdays b/c it's convenient and stuff, but I was wondering if it would be possible to get married on a Sunday without too many problems/obstacles, or should I just decide on another date?

My sister and brother-in-law are our maidtron of honor and best man. But we both wanted our parents to be up at the alter. Not my sister or brother in law. They will walk down the isle and sit down. Both our parents will walk down the isle and stand with us. It is a small (25ish) outdoor wedding. My niece will also be walking down the isle.

my fiance' said he was willing to go to the pre-marriage classes because he knows how much it means to me and my family for me to get married in my church, but here is where the issue begins. I am an emergency dispatcher and he works offshore. I work from 3p-11p monday thru friday and he works 7 on 7 off leaving/returning on tuesdays. I know we have to go to the classes but with out schedules it would take nearly 3 years before actually getting married. I mentioned us gettting married in a neutral area- no church, just the justice of the peace and he quickly turned it down. I mentioned possibly getting married in his baptist church to my family and they were very upset. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. I know everyone says its my wedding i have to do what I want, but I want him to be happy and he just says whatever I want. My family is also paying for majority of this wedding so I can't completely push them aside.

Would it be totally cheap of me to have the bridesmaids holding fans? Otherwise, any helpful hints on saving money on the wedding flowers?

I am unable to be the bridesmaid for my friends wedding, mostly because she is picking out ghastly expensive dresses for us to buy, and the have not even added tax or done the alterations, and second my husband does not really want me to go.

See heres the thing, I have to find a song to sing for my fiance at our wedding. On Velentines day he sang to me and puposed, he has an awesome voice by the way. And that night he asked me to sing for him. Heres my story the only person that has ever heard me sing is my mom who passed away 5 years ago. I have never sang in front of anyone else in my entire life not even at church or when I'm in the car. I haven't even thought about singing since. Trey, my fiance, sings to me all the time and he is very fond of music in general. He and my mom use to talk a lot and she once told him that I had a beautiful voice, she always told me that I did, and I considered it something very special between me and her. I do think that I have an okay voice and I would love to be able to wow him which I think I can. I told him that I only would do it on our wedding day because thats the only thing that could equal my special time with my mom. Now I just need the perfect song. I will take any suggestions

We're having a semi-formal non denominational ceremony, I'm wondering about music. Nothing cheesy like Kenny G or Celine Dion. I was thinking along the lines of Ben Harper, David Grey...just hoping someone with similar musical taste has some good ideas for me.Thanks.

meaning you would NEVER get married? ( a promise you made to yourself or God)

And if so, did you eventually get married or remain single?

I have decided to wear a red wedding dress. My mom said its so untraditional and my grandmothers says in her culture it a tradtional color for weddings. I refuse to wear white because its suppose to sybolize purity and we all know about some of the people who wear white and im far from that. WHat to do my folks are acting a fool. Whats some other wedding dress color ideas?

I am the mother of the groom. I have never heard of invitations to the rehearsal. I always thought it was for the wedding party. Thoughts? Have you ever heard of this?

When we were friends she loved me, whe we got together everything was fine. The closer we got the worse it got. Now that the wedding is less than a year away she doesn't like me at all.Which makes me not really like her. i don't want it to be like this forever but I am worried she is just to bitter and miserable to be happy for us. Hes kinda a mama's boy too...is there any hope? Or is everything you hear about the mother-in-law true?

I have a few people in my wedding that I'd like to honor (i.e. those who are not family but are helping me out a lot.) I just can't afford more flowers, what could I have them wear (if anything) that people would see they are being honored?

My sister is getting married in May! We are all very excited! Neither of us get along with our father and therefore are not allowed to see our younger sisters. My sister (the one getting married) would love to have our little sisters in the wedding! How can we get to them without our dad intervining? My dad also now wants to walk my sister down the aisle! He is not even invited to the wedding...a uncle who we both consider a father figure is walking her down. Any suggestions on how to keep our dad away from the wedding!

I am getting married this July and my wedding plans are coming along beautifully. Well we've already picked out the wedding party and everything. However, I am the bride but instead of having a maid (matron) of honor, I am having a man of honor or a best man...whatever you want to call him.
Allow me to explain....my bestfriend is my big brother. He's with me through whatever and I feel like he should be up there with me on the most important day of my life. Everybody is saying that he could be a groomsmen but my fiance has a lot of brothers and close friends and he would have to exclude an important person in his life in order for my brother to be apart of the wedding party. So I decided to make him my "Man of honor". My fiance thinks it is a GREAT idea, however I've been getting a lot of flack from other people about it.

What do you think?
