My fiance and I are getting married July 19, 2008. We wanted our colors to either be white and red or white and blue. We decided on white and red. Recently I thought it would be fun to add blue in, as an accent color. My fiance likes it, but other people have said they think red, white and blue are weird colors for a wedding... but hello! We're getting married in JULY! But anyway, I also thought about switching to blue and white because my fiance and I both have blue as a favorite color. Then maybe have red as an accent color... just want an opinion on this... what do you guys think would look best: red and white with blue as accent, blue and white with red as accent, or red white and blue all as main colors... what do you think would make a better wedding?

IMO I think Blue and White with Red as accent for a couple of reasons. Red is a powerful color, so even if you only use it as an accent it will pop out. Also, go with blue cuz it's both of your fav color. Any way you decide to do it I think your colors will be beautiful.

I'd go with the red white and blue as main colors. Great for a July wedding.

I think white and red with a (soft) blue accent would be the best choice!

its your day do what feels right and if you go with a total Americana look it might be really cute but like you said one as a accent color not 3 main colors i saw that done with the red white and blue and it was not as nice but it sound like you thought it out and it will be very pretty good luck and have fun!

Wedding colors is not so important for a loving couple. Every person has its own loking of wedding colors. My suggestion is that, try to compliment your partner choice 'cause she's a lady. She knows what color's best. And, besides, she's in the position to choose the color not you. You can suggest but not to the point that you're so disappointed with her selection. That's a girl choice not you...guy. make her happy for the rest of her life. happy wedding!

i am getting married on August 4th, 2007 and my colors are red and white. i love the combination. maybe in the decorating of the hall or something you add some blue touches. CONGRATS

Its your wedding do what you want. But you might want to think of doing red accents, like napkin ring being red, stuff like that.

i think you can use all red, white and blue together but don't overdo it though! sounds rather lovely, don't you think?
